Welcome to The Chapel – A Tranquil Escape in a Tiny Haven

Nestled on a serene 14-acre property, The Chapel is a peaceful retreat designed for those looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by lush nature, this charming tiny house offers everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Explore scenic walking paths through the woods, take a quiet morning stroll, or enjoy the expansive lawns perfect for unwinding. The property is home to abundant wildlife, and you may spot deer, bunnies, or turkeys during your walks or in the garden. Early mornings and evenings are especially magical when the deer wander onto the lower lawn.

Cozy & Inviting Space

Inside, The Chapel exudes warmth and charm with its country-inspired decor, inviting you to unwind and embrace the calm. For those who appreciate a touch of nostalgia in their retreat, this cozy haven is perfect.

Comfort & Privacy

The king-sized bed is thoughtfully separated from the living area by a screen, creating a private and peaceful sleeping nook. If you're looking for a full kitchen, consider the Cottage, or for something extra unique, check out the Hillside unit.

The kitchenette is stocked with everything you need, including cookware for the hotplate and microwave, air fryer, toaster, and crockpot, as well as dinnerware, glasses, and coffee mugs for four. Wake up to your morning brew with the provided Keurig coffee maker, along with starter coffee pods, tea bags, creamer, and sugar. An under-counter refrigerator with a small freezer adds convenience for longer stays, though you may need to replenish supplies during your visit.

Outdoor Bliss

During warmer months, the private courtyard is a delightful spot to enjoy coffee, wine, or beer at a bistro table, with string lights creating a romantic atmosphere. A citronella pot keeps pests at bay, and a grill is available for use during your stay.

For cozy evenings, gather around the firepit near the garden (shared with other guests) or enjoy a peaceful night by your private firepit, perfect for stargazing or roasting marshmallows. A log swing nearby offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
A hammock will be added from June through the beginning of September.

Entertainment & Connectivity

The Chapel comes equipped with a TV and HDTV digital antenna, providing local channels (note: no cable or Wi-Fi are available to enhance your getaway experience). A collection of DVDs is available for entertainment, and additional titles can be provided if requested. Most cell carriers offer service, so you can stay connected if needed.

Convenience for All Guests

For those with electric vehicles, an EV charger is available for your convenience.

Please note, The Chapel is a pet-free space due to health concerns, but service animals are always welcome—just let us know in advance so we can make arrangements.

A True Escape

Whether you're seeking relaxation, exploration, or simply a break from everyday life, The Chapel offers the perfect blend of peace, comfort, and natural beauty for your getaway. Recharge, reconnect, and create lasting memories in this one-of-a-kind retreat.

We invite you to explore the walking paths on the property. Please be mindful of the posted signs from our neighbors. A seasonal pond is located just a short walk away, offering a peaceful spot to enjoy nature.

As you stroll around, you'll discover a picnic area on the lower lawn and a swing by the lower firepit—perfect for relaxing. If you're interested in playing horseshoes, just let us know. We’ll happily set up the horseshoe pit.

Additionally, we have a lovely garden filled with a variety of flowers, along with seasonal fruits and vegetables. Feel free to sample the fresh produce during your visit.

Please note, since we are in a wooded area, you might want to bring some bug spray to enhance your comfort.

We love chatting with our guests, but we understand that sometimes you may just want to unwind and enjoy your own space. Feel free to join us if you'd like, whether we're out working on the lawn, gardening, or taking care of things around the property. We’re always happy to have a chat, but it's entirely up to you!

Hello! We live and work in the Cherry Creek, NY area. You can find me working at our hardware store just a mile down the road or puttering around the property. Hosting gives me the chance to meet new people and share the beautiful area we call home. When I'm not working or hosting, I enjoy spending time outdoors, tinkering with projects around the property, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of our community. It's rewarding to offer a warm and welcoming space for guests to enjoy and relax!

Why they chose this property

Tamara (my wife) and I decided to open our property with three short term rentals because we wanted to share this tranquility with others. We believe there’s something deeply restorative about being able to escape the constant demands of technology and the fast pace of modern life. Our space is perfect for those who are yearning to disconnect, unwind, and reconnect with nature, themselves, and the people they care about. The setting is ideal for quiet walks, sitting around a fire pit, or simply enjoying the stillness of the evening as stars fill the sky.

What we enjoy most about this place is the opportunity to offer guests a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and recharge. By opening our home, we invite others to experience the same peace and joy that we find here every day. Whether it’s through a peaceful retreat, a getaway with loved ones, or simply the joy of being in a space that feels untouched by the chaos of the world, we’re honored to share our sanctuary with others. Hosting here isn’t just about offering a place to stay; it’s about creating a space where people can truly escape and find a sense of balance and tranquility.

What makes this property unique

What makes our property truly unique is the perfect blend of natural beauty, serenity, and the opportunity to step back in time. The garden here is a hidden gem, peaceful and tranquil. Whether it's the colorful blooms in the spring or the lush greenery throughout the year, our garden is designed to provide a quiet, restorative environment for anyone looking to reconnect with nature. The walking paths around the property are another highlight, offering a chance to wander through the peaceful woods or just enjoy the fresh air and open sky.

But the true charm of our property isn’t just the space itself—it's the sense of community and history that surrounds us. Just a short walk or drive from our property, you’ll find local Amish shops, where you can experience craftsmanship and simplicity at its finest. From handcrafted furniture to homemade jams, quilts, and baked goods, the Amish community offers a taste of a slower, more intentional way of life. Nearby antique stores are also a must-see, filled with treasures that tell stories from the past. It's these local experiences—rooted in tradition and quality—that make our property stand out from the rest.

What we love most is how our guests can immerse themselves in this peaceful, slower pace of life, while also enjoying the nearby attractions that make the area so special. Whether you’re strolling through our garden, walking along the paths, or exploring the Amish shops and antique stores, there’s always something to discover. This unique blend of nature, history, and craftsmanship creates an experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
