John, the property was very nice inside for an older property. There was a very musty smell in the house. Also, the outside area was a mess. The property outside had not been cared for in weeks. The grass was a foot and a half long. Our dog was covered in burrs. The dock furniture was moldy and could set on at all. Just junk all over the place. boat in the yard a jet ski dock full of standing water (mosquito haven) Trash Bottles and broken glass on the water's edge. Not worth the money
The location was great. Great views and walking distance to historic St Augustine. Also the house with the decor had a very nautical feel to it. We loved it.
This home was delightful. Everything we wanted and needed. Very close to downtown. We walked everywhere! Restaurants were fabulous. We will definitely recommend this lovely home to our friends…. And would definitely return!
Thank you Linda. People like you make all that we do worthwhile. I hope you enjoyed the evening sea breeze and water activities that can be viewed from the screened patio.
House is amazing. Location phenomenal. Everything you need in a kitchen. View of the water and fort, breathtaking. Watched the sunrise every morning from provate dock. House is within a seriously short walk from everything. Will definately be staying here again!
This was a great place to stay, close to the fort and many downtown attractions and restaurants. My only problem was the coffee maker didn't work, otherwise it was really a perfect place.
The exquisite view and amazing waterway birds along with wonderful sunrises were more than beautiful!

It’s such a good feeling to know our guests are as delighted with not only our renovated Boathouse but our terrific location on the Matanzas River with views of The St Augustine Inlet. This is the best location! Thanks for taking time to let us know how much you and your family appreciated your stay here.

We have used VRBO for at least 20 years and traveled around the US and have had good and disappointing experiences but Boathouse cottage is our favorite so far! We traveled with another couple and it checked all of our boxes..On the water (any body of water is our preference),Clean, incredibly a beautiful nautical theme w/ very comfortable furnishings. Kitchen has a great layout and is FULLY equipped with anything you could possibly need. Bedding is very comfortable and bathrooms have plenty of towels including beach towels. The location to the old fort is amazingly close it’s so comfortable to just walk across the road to begin shop hopping! We could hear a guy playing bag pipes at a pub close by from the dock at Boat House Cottage. Gives you goosebumps. Suffice it to say, the 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hated to leave. We will be back! Thank you for sharing your incredible place!
