Charming Lake Front Cottage

This is a unique opportunity to spend your summer at our lakefront house. come to Fish, kayak, swim, BBQ, or just enjoy the relaxing sunsets

Our charming cottage was recently renovated, with brand new appliances, beds, kitchen, and more.

The cottage is on the lakefront, with your own private land of almost 0.5 an acre.
Our huge yard is super inviting to play all kinds f ball games (soccer, volleyball, and more)
You'll have a very private lakefront with a dock into the clear water of Swan Lake.

You can swim, fish, kayak, or just chill on our waterfront deck, BBQ during the day and enjoy our firepit at night.

If you have a 20 feet boat or less, we have our own private boat launcher! so feel free to bring your boat with you.

Such a beautiful spot on Swan Lake! Sunrise to the right, sunset to the left, peaceful woods over the water. Perfect kayaking lake with herons and eagles to keep you company. House is clean and comfy, nicely furnished with a well equipped kitchen.

Cozy home, great location

Check in/out was easy and communication with owner was quick and helpful. Home was located on Swan lake great for fishing and kayaking, gorgeous views and sunsets. Home was clean and beds were comfy!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house and will definitely come back again! The house was very clean, which made a great first impression. It was very convenient to have bed linens and towels provided — it made packing so much easier.The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and to cook meals.The location is excellent — just a 3-minute drive to the nearest store.The property has a large yard with plenty of space for kids to play.We especially enjoyed riding the pedal boat — it was a lot of fun!Owner was very responsive and answered all our questions quickly.Highly recommend this home for a relaxing getaway!

Great Location!

This was our 3rd stay and we’ll be back again later this summer. It’s perfect for our needs - a quiet place to stay with our two cats that isn’t too far away from things. And the view can’t be beat!

Wonderful Getaway

Very relaxing, beautiful, clean and comfortable. So much care was invested in this home, from the appliances to the decor to the amenities and beyond. We would absolutely rent again.

wonderful proximity and views of lake!

This small, very clean cottage is surprisingly well designed and seemed larger because of the wide open views, smartly placed windows, the deck, and its close proximity to the beautiful lake. It was perfect for the two of us but may be tight for families. As one of the reviews pointed out, it was especially nice to not have houses across the lake. The owner was very responsive, accommodating, and helpful and I hope we will be back!

Swan Lake Summer in the Catskills

The house was perfect for my kids and I. Fresh interior and linens, wonderful lake view, quiet. The water amenities set this home apart; a water mat which was a win-win of amazing fun for my kids, a small boat, kayaks and thick foam floats. The host is quick to communicate helpful information. It was a wonderful stay.

Swan lake july 2023

Beautiful home and lake, better than the pictures. Communication with host was great. There were some sort of birds caged in the neighbors yard behind that made VERY loud noises throughout the day/night. Also there was no propane for the grill but the kitchen was fully stocked so not an issue for us!

Peace and Quiet with Nature

I love the waterfront view and access. Enjoyed my coffee sitting out in the morning, bonfire at night, kayak and fishing, barbecue. We were surprised no microwave (which is nowadays on all households). The screen door needs some work (a little struggle opening and closing it). Over all we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend the place if you want to reconnect with nature. I will definitely come back if I can.

4th stay - won’t be our last

This is a great low-key spot and is perfect for our needs. The view is amazing. The house gives us the space we need for our family of 3 and 2 cats. When it’s a bit on the hot side, the AC is refreshing and quick to cool, but nothing beats being able to have the doors and windows open to feel the breeze. The internet works well (helpful when we need to work - Verizon cell strength isn’t great there) and the kitchen is stocked with the basics should you want to cook. The host is quick with communications. All in all, this is a place our family intends to return to during the camp season.

Great Lake getaway

Had a great time staying in swan lake house. The house is on the waterfront with private beach access, and we had lots of fun swimming and kayaking (provided as part of our stay). The balcony is also nice to sit and enjoy the incredible views, which are also available from almost everywhere inside the house. We also enjoyed the comfortable couch, great internet connection and quiet neighborhood. The property is on the smaller side and while it works for a couple, it would probably be super tight for more than that. Also summer days get quite hot inside even with 3 wall AC and two fans. But all in all I highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice lake getaway 2 hours from NYC.

Desirable views with an undesirable experience

There were positives and negatives to our stay here. First the negatives. The screen door fell off twice, once falling on my son’s fishing pole and cracking it in half. But the worst was arriving and the first thing we notice is dog poop EVERYWHERE. It was all over the grass as well as the dock! It had just rained so it was extra mushy! You had to walk around the bombs to get from the car to the door with all our luggage. Not a great first impression. When we first walked in the house it had an overpowering smell, not in a good way. We found two plugins and took them out. Once removed the smell of mildew came through. We turned on the air and opened the windows and the smell did get better. Aside from the negative experiences, the lake was awesome. The kids had a blast fishing. The beds were comfy and the house itself was clean. Note that the immediate area was less than desirable.

Property was pretty disappointing for the price. Upon arriving and checking out the property we seriously considered cutting the trip short for 3 main reasons. Smell: very strong odor. Upon deciding to stay we ran to closest gas station to get candles and Lysol. Most windows had notes to not open. Hard to ventilate and smell was strongest in kitchen. Every time you enter the house it hits you. Goose poop: the property was absolutely covered in goosepoop on grass, dock, parking area. Not all was fresh, does not appear cleaned in some time. Would expect owner to pickup after each guest.Weeds in water: water very saturated with growth. Must be seasonal bur ad and house guide made reference to crystal clear water. Was not clear at all. Dock ladder was wrapped in weeds. Swimming and kayaking were not a realistic option. Fishing resulted in many caught hooks and lures due to the overwhelming vegitation. I realize that's not easily controllable but would have been good to know in advance.House was clean and has great amenities and is clean inside but overall a pretty disappointing stay and would not come back or recommend at that price point I paid.

Great for couples getaway

Check in process was clear and easy. Home was clean. Unfortunately the propane for the grill and lighter for the fire pit were empty, but the owner did give us a option to remedy the situation. Unfortunately we had been drinking and couldn't drive to pick up those items. Several air conditioners throughout living and sleeping areas. Full kitchen(fridge, freezer, microwave, and gas/oven range. Lake is pretty large and quiet. Plenty of small Perch and crappies within reach from the dock. Bass were a little tricky to locate in all parts of the lake. Definitely would consider this lake eutrophic. Due to a high abundance of curly leaf pond weed, algae blooms, and murky water, we did not consider swimming at swan lake. Perfect for kayaking(non pedal drive) though. Underwhelming for an avid fisherman. Supermarket and several restaurant options within a 6 mile radius. Great lake with a lot of potential. Great views from the dock and very relaxing

Wonderful Private property

Right on the water

The house is a stones throw from the water which is nice. The owners were very quick to respond with any questions. Unfortunately we had a situation arise that cut our trip short and the owners were very understanding which was wonderful during a tough time. The house is cozy and updated. We caught a bunch of fish the short time there. Perfect if your looking to get away from it all.

Nice spot in the Catskills

The lakeside cabin was what we expected based on previous positive reviews. Nice, clean space that feels newly renovated located right on a peaceful lake. We particularly enjoyed the view across the water to only trees and rolling woods — no homes. Very natural feel here. Plus awesome air conditioning. Host was good with communication. Would definitely recommend.
