About the host
Hosted by Stavros Kritikos
Hi, I’m Stavros —a first generation Greek American Liberty local, lifelong foodie, and proud owner of the New Munson Diner down in Liberty. When I’m not flipping pancakes or debating the perfect cup of coffee, you’ll find me hiking one of our fire-tower trails or kayaking the quiet coves of the East Branch. Hosting on Vrbo lets me share the small-town hospitality I grew up with: welcome goodies, insider tips on trout streams and breweries, and the kind of “anything you need, just text me” support that turns a weekend away into a staple summer memory. I look forward to welcoming you like family.
Why they chose this property
Parksville hits the sweet spot between untouched wilderness and a blossoming food-and-craft-drink scene. Step outside and you’re minutes from fire-tower hikes with 360° mountain views or legendary fly-fishing on the Beaverkill. Five miles south, Livingston Manor’s Catskill Brewery and Upward Brewing pour cold pints after a day on the trails, while farm-to-table spots showcase local trout and foraged mushrooms. Even with all that energy nearby, nights here stay blissfully quiet—just the hoot of an owl and a sky so dark you can trace the Milky Way. It’s the perfect basecamp for guests who want nature first and great eats second.
What makes this property unique
10 private acres, a babbling stream, and a hot tub under star-filled skies—our Catskill Getaway was designed for people who crave elbow room. A winding 20-foot driveway leads to the cabin, so you’ll wake to birdsong instead of car doors. Wrap-around picture windows frame fall foliage like a live painting; in winter, they turn the living room into a snow-globe. Spend afternoons roaming the woods with your pup, roasting s’mores at the oversized fire-pit, or napping in a hammock on the deck. Every stay includes a welcome basket plus a digital guidebook packed with trail maps and “locals-only” restaurant picks. Guests tell us it feels less like a rental and more like borrowing a friend’s well-loved retreat—and that’s exactly the vibe we aim for.
