Enjoy our beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bath house nestled in the hills below Elk Mountain! The spacious, family-friendly (and pet-friendly) home is a quick 2-minute drive from the ski resort—with views of the slopes from our back windows.

The updated farmhouse features: a large, well-equipped kitchen with a wood-burning fireplace and large dining table; comfy living room with widescreen, smart-TV; cozy family room with games, books and tranquil views of the yard, pond and surrounding hillside. The mudroom offers storage for boots, skis and other outdoor equipment, as well as a washer and dryer for your wet gear. And we have a single-car garage for easy loading/unloading in snowy weather.

The bedrooms include: extra-large master bedroom on the first floor with king bed and ensuite bath; front bedroom (second floor) with 1 queen bed and 1 full-size futon; back bedroom (also on second floor) with 1 full-size bed and 1 single bed. The second full bath is located on the first floor, just off the kitchen. Towels and sheets provided for your comfort and convenience.

The 3-acre property is on a small, rural road. Tall pines, oaks and maples shade the house. Out back, the grassy yard circles a large, stream-fed pond that is home to bullfrogs, ducks, fish and the occasional otter. Unwind with family and friends around the campfire.

The Endless Mountain Region in North Eastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) is a great destination for any season. Of course in winter, our home is the perfect base for a family ski trip! The short drive (2 minutes!!) to the mountain, makes for easy return trips for lunch, naps, etc. Elk Mountain Ski Resort offers the best slopes in PA, with exceptional snow-making, excellent ski/board school, and a perfect balance of beginner, intermediate and expert trails. We are also just a few miles from snowmobile and ATV trails.

In spring, summer and fall, hike or bike the trails at Elk Mountain or the expansive network of NEPA rail-trails. Paddle down one of the local creeks, play Frisbee golf at Prompton State Park, go antiquing in the nearby towns of Honesdale or Hawley, or just sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet. Whatever you choose to do, our house makes a great home base!
