Enjoyed staying at Captain Hanks. Great location on a canal and near beach access. Owners communicated quickly when questions were asked. Very easy to work with and check-in and check-out process was very easy.Would stay here again for sure!

We had a great week at Captain Hank’s!! The place was super clean, the kitchen was spacious and well stocked with appliances, pots and pans, and many utensils. The bedrooms were welcoming after some long days. The owners were quick to respond to an issue and it was resolved quickly. This place is 1 of 1. You will not be disappointed.

This house is an absolute treasure. Perfectly located a short walk from the beach, but with water front access. The house is laid out wonderfully, and has great amenities. The hosts are quick to respond with questions. We found so many shark teeth, beautiful shells and sea biscuits during our trip. We would absolutely stay here again.

Canal home at Holden Beach

This was our 2nd time staying at this property and we loved it yet again! Especially love that the master bedroom has an extremely comfortable king bed. Teenagers loved fishing off the dock Aj’s singing karaoke in the downstairs area!

Great House and Excellent Hosts!

We had a great stay. We loved the dock, sitting by the waterway and the short walk to the beach access. The house had everything we needed. The record player and albums were a huge bonus!!!! The host responded to our messages quickly and were great. Thanks for the great stay!

Beach week

We enjoyed being on the canal - my husband was able to keep his kayak on the dock and the view was peaceful. The owners were very prompt and responsive to questions. We'd certainly stay here again!

Just What We Needed

This place met all expectations for our family of four. Loved the access to the canal, beach access was not bad. We felt right at home. Holden Beach is a wonderful place to bring family without feeling crowded or too commercialized.

Great Place for a family

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Nice house. Convenient location to the beach, general store, and of course Haley's Ice Cream! Plenty of bikes for you and the kids, as well as beach toys and chairs. Greg is very easy to work with. Highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful getaway

We had a wonderful getaway with extended family. The home was well stocked and offered plenty of indoor and outdoor space for all to enjoy. Quick walk to the beach with the added benefit of fishing from the dock in the evenings. And the outdoor shower was awesome for everyone to wash off after a day in the sand and sun.

Another great vacation

This is our second time staying at this house. House is conveniently located to a beach access within walking distance. Kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs. Owner is quick to answer any questions. We definitely recommend this property.

This is our third year vacationing in this house. House is fully equipped with all your kitchen needs. Always clean. Short walk to the beach. Kids enjoy fishing from the floating dock and hanging out in the playroom downstairs. Owner is always quick to respond if needed.

Great

We had a great time. Located not too far from the beach, you can hear the ocean from the back porch. Perfect house if you have a boat or like fishing. The kids spend every morning fishing and catching crabs from the deck.

We enjoyed the location, house cleaness and decor. Once the outside is brought up to the standard of the inside it will be a place I would stay again. We really enjoy being outside on the canal but were disappointed at the lack of outside living. i.e. the Gazebo renovation is not completed, No outside dining space and amount of weeds taking over

Perfect Stay

This charming 3 bedroom house on Holden meet our family vacation needs perfectly. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some to prepare meals. Our grandkids loved the downstairs game room to keep them busy in the evenings while the adults hung out. Short walk to the beach (they also have beach toys, boards and supplies to share). I would definitely stay here again! My only need would be some chairs on the top deck for the evening. Thank you for letting us enjoy your place!

I wanted to share our experience from our recent stay—it truly made for a wonderful family getaway.The rental is in an ideal location, offering canal access right from the dock and beach access just a short walk away. The owners were excellent with communication and made sure we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our time.The home itself was nicely decorated and very spacious—perfect for families. There was plenty of room for everyone to spend time together or find a quiet space to relax. The kitchen was especially well-equipped, which made it easy for us to prepare and enjoy family meals. While the property does have a bit of age and charm, which we appreciated, the coastal environment has understandably taken a toll in some areas. The back porch and deck could use a little TLC, though it looked like improvements were already underway—the front steps appeared newly redone. One small recommendation would be to add outdoor furniture for the upper back deck. There were plastic Adirondack chairs available around the fire pit, Overall, we had a fantastic week—especially spending evenings watching the sun set from the dock.
