Great for a relaxing week away. Very close to Boone, with fantastic cleanliness and amenities. We only had to call the host once when we arrived with a WiFi issue and she picked up immediately and got us sorted in minutes. Very happy, and would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Rustic Retreat. The kids loved the game room and that there was a TV in every bedroom. They also enjoyed playing in the creek and exploring the woods. There was plenty of room for everyone. I loved the screened in porch and rocking chairs on the front. It was also decorated for fall. The only drawbacks were that the property is on a pretty busy road. Lots of cars all the time. But that also means it’s very close to town. I did a Walmart delivery for our groceries with no problems. Overall great stay.
This property may be better than advertised. It is in a great location just a few miles outside of Boone. Close enough to be back into town in minutes but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Plenty of space for multiple people to sleep and also space to gather in dining area and living room. Would recommend this property to any medium to large group.
This cabin was perfect for our family trip to the mountains. We enjoyed fishing and playing in the creek located on the property. The kitchen had all the cookware needed for making family dinners. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the week we spent here and would definitely book again.
Finally found time to get all the kids together in one place…….and the cabin was a perfect fit for our family. Fully stocked pantry, huge table for us to gather for dinner and games,a pool table that got plenty of use and a great hot tub. Plenty of room for 7 adults and a great hub for our daily outings. Tammy was easy to reach and helpful before and during our trip. A good time was had by all!
The weather gave us a few hiccups but the host was amazing and we can’t wait to take more friends to experience this property. We had a great time. One of the best vacations so far. Took kids on their first ski trip and created “LOTS” of memories!!! Thanks again
Really enjoy our stay with our adult children and grandbaby. Very close to lots of great restaurants, brewpubs, attractions. Owner is quick to respond with any inquiries. Would recommend this super comfy gorgeous retreat!
The house was great for a family, full of activities! Also, there were so many small extra details that the owner had thought of. We also enjoyed the beautiful stream and almost caught a trout!
The property is beautiful. As well as the cabin nice and cozy. In an awesome location from skiing as well as great hiking trails. Will definitely be going back again.
This cabin was very clean and beautiful. It has a rustic feel and design with all the amenities of a modern cabin. Tammy, the hostess with the mostess, answered all of my annoying questions very quickly and was most helpful. The only thing that I can say that was just a little less than perfect was the frontage road across the creek that had a lot of traffic and was a little loud if you were out front. Inside, we couldn’t hear anything. Beautiful cabin, you won’t be disappointed!!!!
The attention to detail on this cabin was exceptional. Festive decor. Lovely views and walks. Almost never leave reviews but this one deserved celebration. Well maintained and the owner cares.
The location on VRBO is inaccurate by several miles but we got quick validation
Absolutely gorgeous cabin- the porches and lighting made it so cozy and festive; loved the fireplace and outdoor fireplqce; the sound of tje creek was soothing thw whole time; hot tub was amazing too; cabin was stocked with litwrally everything we needed
Near all boone, blowing rock and banner elk have to offer. Well designed for family groups. Window ac only which leads to very high humidity. Grill works well on porch and two fire pits.
Stayed at this beautiful cabin with my family for a week. Had a blast! There was a couple small issues but the owners were all over it and had it fixed same day. We were a little too early for the fish but enjoyed the creek everyday. Overall a great experience.
Once we made it to the cabin, we really loved the location and the house. The Hot tub looked dirty so we didn't use it but I'm very cautious. My daughter loved the upstairs entertainment area. Highly recommend this property.
We played pool for hours.. . tubs.
I enjoyed the property very much! It would have been easier if we could have talked with someone directly about the booking. The only problem with the property was the steam shower stopped up.
We really enjoyed our stay here for our vacation. Our family of 11 (ages 2-58) were comfortable for our week stay. It was a 30 minute drive to a lot of the activities we did (sugar mountain, hawksnest, grandfather mountain, mountain coaster, trout fishing/ gem mining), but we don’t mind a little drive. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions, and very polite. Creek and fire pits were cool. Loved the little enclosure for the hot tub. Driveway fit 3 cars just fine. Cons: The shower in the master was kinda dirty/ moldy. And couldn’t get the indoor firepit on the side porch to work. But all in all wasn’t a big deal for us. Loved the house and location. Will definitely save for next family vacation to the area.
Our family of six celebrated our son’s high school graduation by booking this home which he chose. It’s a little nerve wracking coming across the bridge in the drive but the home is nice and inviting, we’ll worth traversing the bridge. Our kids (all young adults) loved the game room but the hot tub was the favorite spot for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and it was nice to have a great area to do laundry. We enjoyed the front porch and our dog had a great time walking in the creek. The beds are amazingly comfortable. We did experience an issue that could not be fully fixed but when we contacted Tammy and Julian about it they were very responsive and quickly helped us find a temporary solution for the duration of our stay. The location of the home is also fantastic. You feel like you are secluded when, in fact, you can easily get to wherever you’d like to go in a relatively short amount of time. A very interesting area and a cozy home!
Perfect and as advertised: clean, quiet, close to stores/restaurants, pretty creek in front and multiple fire pit options. We enjoyed the hot tub too! Tammy was quick to respond to any questions we had.
