This quaint, restored 1920s farmhouse is ideally located in central downtown Boone. This North Carolina town is home to Appalachian State University, located less than ½ mile from the home.

Walk just a few minutes and you're on campus! Check out the university bookstore, relax in the parks, or stroll along Kraut Creek. Step out the front door and you're on King Street and in the heart of downtown Boone! This home features 2-bedrooms and 2-bathrooms, dishwasher, and beautiful hardwood floors. This was our 2nd time staying at White Fence Farm and loved it. Very comfortable home close to downtown and App State. It is furnished with everything we needed for our stay. We have already booked an overnight stay within the next few months to visit with our student at App State.

Wonderful home in great location

We were really comfortable in this clean, well apportioned and cared for home, within easy walking distance of everything on King Street. Denise was very responsive and helpful. The cozy home had everything we needed including toilet paper, linens, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, all the dishes we needed to cook family dinner, great wifi and smart TVs. We highly recommend this property!

This is a spacious tastefully decorated home in a super-convenient location. Everything in downtown Boone is walkable if you’re able to handle maybe .4/mile each way. We had a lovely little stay and my wife approved of the property!

Wonderful Stay

Property is in a super convenient location. The home was without a doubt the cleanest VRBO rental that allows pets I have ever rented. Would recommend and hope to return in the future.

Perfect location!

We stayed here while touring Appalachian State University, and I don't think we could have picked a better place. It is practically on campus, and within walking distance of amazing local restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. The owners were very responsive to every request we had, and I look forward to the chance to stay here again.

Fabulous little getaway

We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay here. Location, fabulous house and welcoming environment. Parking is a little tight but worth the maneuvering. You will be very happy here.

Perfect location!

This charming little house is the perfect location in Boone. We walked everywhere and never worried about parking. There is a grocery store 3 doors down which we found very convenient as well.

Convenient and easy to get to

Our daughter is at App State and we are trying every property we can when visiting. This was our 4th and one of the best for convenience to downtown and the campus. Loved the roominess in the house and the ease to walk everywhere.

Great location

You can't beat the location if you want to walk King Street and App State campus. The house is old and eclectic. It had the items we needed to be comfortable. I would bring a noise maker and/or sleep mask if you are a light sleeper due to busyness of King Street. I enjoyed the hustle and bustle and "nightlife" but one of my kids has more trouble with sleep and it kept them up at night.

Wonderful home!

My husband and I booked this home during the first week of January for our twins’ NC State ski trip. It was in the perfect location for trips to the ski resort in the morning and wonderful restaurants in downtown Boone in the evening. The home is adorable, extremely clean and Denise was attentive to all our needs during the trip. When we had an issue with the sofa bed rendering it unusable, she had an inflatable bed delivered the same day. She was very easy to work with and it made our trip that much better. My husband, twins, dog and I will definitely stay at this property again in the future!

I have stayed here and the property behind. Best location in all of Boone, you can walk to all of downtown amd beyond.The house is big..10 foot ceilings..hardwood floors. Just note, the bathrooms have small showers. Big dining room and lots of space. Beds are comfortable. One big drawback is road/traffic noise as you are on the main drag. I slept in the back bedroom and traffic noise was still loud. Other drawback is back bedroom window is on the side that adjoins a neighboring property and at night their headlights illuminate the bedroom immensely. I point out the pros n cons but it is a 5 star property.

Location, location, location is everything for this property. Great space and central to all things Boone. Could stand for a bit of freshening of outdated furniture and better quality bathroom products, but overall it is an awesome property.

We purchased this property because it is located in central downtown Boone, right on King Street. White Fence Farm Downtown is the perfect place to call home while you're visiting the high country!

For a special night out, stop into one of the many amazing restaurants and bars just minutes from the home, including Boone Saloon, Melanie's, Wild Craft Eatery, Our Daily Bread, Proper or Lost Province Brewing Co. EarthFare is just across the street, where you can shop for organic produce or fix up lunch at the hot food and salad bar.

Appalachian Ski Mountain is roughly 5 miles away, as is the Tweetsie Railroad and High Gravity Adventures Zip Line & Aerial Park. Spend days shredding the slopes or gliding through the forest trees while suspended in air!
