Historic Skye House in the Heart of Northport

Centrally located near the waterfront and within walking distance to everything in Northport! This historic home has 6 bedrooms, three full bathrooms, living room, parlor, and a large eat-in kitchen equipped with everything you need for a big family gathering.

Skye House & Gardens is a historic home located in the very heart of Northport, Michigan. For over 150 years, it has stood on the corner and watched history unfold.

Northport makes a great day out for visitors of all ages, but there’s so much to do here that we guarantee one visit just won’t be enough.

Full changeouts between guests of fresh laundered & sanitized sheets, comforters, shower curtains, bath mats & towels. Rigorous cleaning protocols in place.

The rear of the house is a completely separate apartment. There is no access to the rear apartment or the greenhouse from the main house.

Highly recommend!

We booked for a family vacation with our kids and grandkids. The large kitchen with plenty of seating was a big plus. Great location walking into town and the beach. Hosts are very responsive and helpful.

Heather and Greg went above and beyond for our bridal parties stay at the house! Heather made sure we felt comfortable and met us for a tour and gave us all of the history behind the house which was an added bonus. Our friends loved how close this house was to town and how many people it could occupy. They had the BEST time walking into town, shopping around and getting drinks at the local bars. The house was clean and there were towels set out for each guest. We are so happy with the stay they provided!

Sky house

Charming town, great location. Very spacious property. Needs patio and grill. Huge yard but not usable. Back yard was unsightly . Huge potential once completely remodeled. I would rent again.

Northport

Unfortunately many changed flights and flew home early or drove home early due to inefficient air conditioning making it impossible to sleep. Not having a bath tub for the toddlers was a bit of a problem. One family stayed until Saturday. Had the weather been cooler I think all would have been ok. The children were happy there. Heather had house well stocked and was very gracious. Location couldn’t be better.

Thanks for that feedback. We have now added window air conditioning units to the upstairs. The unusually hot weather surprised us all. Future guests will not have this problem. The renter had already been given a substantial discount and the pet fee was waived.

Fantastic family gathering stay.

This lovely historic home checked all the boxes. It was very clean with all the amenities you need. All the beds are very comfortable. It has a beautiful lake view with only a short walk to the public beach. You can walk to everything in town which was great! The communication with the owners was smooth and they answered all my questions. Check in/out process was simple. I highly recommend staying here for your next family/friend gathering. :) There is an apartment attached to the house but we didn't notice extra noise. It made no difference to our stay.
