Welcome to Boxwood House a completely furnished vacation/corporate garden apartment located on the first floor of a gracious 1893 Victorian home with its own separate entrance.

Boxwood House offers such amenities as a full kitchen, with all electric appliances, including a dishwasher, full size refrigerator, china, silverware, and glassware.
The Bedroom has a queen size bed dressed in Italian linens for a comfortable nights sleep. Plenty of closet space, a dresser, and a writing desk with wireless service for your laptop.
The bathroom shower features a Speakman shower head. There are plenty of thick white towels.
The Living/Dining Room is very comfortable with a sofa that makes into a double bed. The antique dining table and chairs seat four. AM/FM radio with CD player and cable LCD TV with VCR that gets up to 88 channels.
There is a back garden available during nice weather to sit and read or enjoy a glass of wine.

Conveniently located on the island of Alameda, in San Francisco Bay. Boxwood House is situated in the historic Gold Coast a few blocks from parks, beaches with beautiful views of San Francisco, windsurfing, tennis, sailing, bike riding, coffee houses, and restaurants. Direct transportation to San Francisco is accessible both by bus and ferry located a few blocks away.

This is a modest property but a great value for staying in the Bay Area, very close to the ferry ferry, San Francisco, and walking distance to grocery stores and decent restaurants as well as the Pacific Pinball Museum. Comfortable bed, plentiful towels, adequate kitchen, great shower. Our host was kind and responsive. We appreciated the plentiful hanging space and hangers.

It's always a pleasure to stay at Boxwood Cottage. The location is quiet, parking is easily available, and the neighborhood is safe and pleasant. In addition, Marti is a kind and attentive host.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a great place to come home too at the end of the day. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Everything was supplied in the kitchen and also in the bathroom so there was nothing we needed to get. We will come back there again when we come back to Alameda.

The apartment was very clean and very comfortable. Great value! We stay here whenever we visit our son and his family in Oakland. Alameda is lovely and has quite a range of excellent restaurants and shops. We love this apartment and the location!

The place was ADORABLE!!!! It’s like something you would read about in a story. All of the furniture and decor were cultivated to make you feel cozy, peaceful, and happy. The neighborhood is lovely, quiet, beautiful, and safe. The bed was super comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dining ware. The water pressure is superb. The only thing, I would say is if you’re taller than 6’3”, the ceilings are low and my husband just felt too tall. I would definitely book again if we are in town again.

Beautiful accommodation with everything you need. Ideal for two people, gorgeous rear outdoor space though we didn’t have time to enjoy it. Plenty of street parking. Marty the owner who lives upstairs is a wonderful host, brought us extra toiletries. Very clean in a lovely neighborhood.

This is a lovely place in a quiet neighborhood where my wife and I have stayed several times. It's within walking distance of the beach, parks, and restaurants. The host is very responsive and helpful. There is always street parking either right in front of the unit, or within a block. We're already looking forward to another visit.

Wonderful stay! The place is super clean and very well appointed. I would stay here again! There were so many thoughtful touches, and the location was amazing - and there were no issues parking right out front. Great neighborhood and wonderful host. Marty is a wonderful hostess. My plane was delayed so my daughter got the key from Marty who showed her around. I had trouble with the internet and spoke with Marty about it. She fixed it.The lock and key were glitchy, but Marty said that she plans on fixing it. The only problem came from some of the neighbors. My daughter dropped me off and picked me up. We never took more than five minutes and usually less than two minutes. The neighbors kept telling my daughter to move her car.

All was charming. One glitch. Incorrect information was provided for access to wifi. It took about an hour to get in touch with the host. The host was very responsive to solving the issue. We were frustrated but the response made everything fine. She fixed it immediately on vrbo.Coffee/breakfast spot a block away. Five minute walk. Opens at 7:30 am.Lovely neighborhood.

What an absolutely relaxing little holiday. The place was sweet and it reminded me of the perfect apartment you would want right out of college; and the furnishings were bespoke.
