Fully furnished, fully stocked, 2 bedroom 1.5 bath with cherry furniture, free WI FI, 55" flat screen smart TV, DVD player, Netflix, eat in kitchen, new stove, new refrigerator, new dishwasher, new microwave, new Speed Queen washer/dryer, sets of dishes, cookware and utensils. There are new safety grab bars in the bathtub/shower. There are fresh and clean linens, extra towels, extra blankets, extra pillows, new lighting and new window treatments. We have books, magazines, board games and puzzles for all ages. There is a craft box for kids to create fun stuff with their imagination. Dedicated off street parking. Level-in no stairs. Walk or bicycle to The University of California. Shop at the local Monterey Market, Magnani Meats, Monterey Fish, Cheese Store, Fresh Bakery and local Roma Cafe. Enjoy eating out in the Gourmet Ghetto or on 4th Street with many restaurants and shops to choose from. Central location with easy access to San Francisco and The Bay Area. Our neighbors are friendly and the area is residential with three parks within a short walking distance. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. We appreciated the little gift basket on the table for our use. Having laundry available for our week stay was essential and much appreciated. The home is clean and quiet. Incredibly close to the North Berkeley BART station, which made day trips to SF very easy. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a home that is clean, well equipped and close to public transportation. Thanks, Scott, for the great stay!

Berkeley Gem

Great location for a stay in the Berkeley area. Very close to the North Berkeley BART stop and convenient for a car with an assigned parking space. The neighborhood is very tranquil, near the park and within walking distance of many Berkeley spots. The residence is well appointed. With everything you need for a great stay.

Excellent Location

Very nice stay in this apartment ideally located 2 minutes walk from the BART and 10 minutes walk from Target. Had everything we needed for a good stay. Really useful to have a good sized fridge freezer, excellent washing machine and dryer. The apartment came well supplied and was comfortable for two adults and two teens. Correspondence with the owner was good.

Super Host

We spent a wonderful week in Scott’s lovely home. Check-in was a breeze. Scott was there and explained everything about the house. He left a gift basket for us containing wine, fruit, and coffee. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Newer appliances are beautiful. Very quiet neighborhood with easy accces to the BART. We would definitely stay here again! Scott is definitely a “Super Host.”

Perfect for Us

We’ve stayed in many places on visits to our son and his family, but Scott’s place worked especially well for us. With two bedrooms, there was plenty of room for our grandchildren to visit us there where they loved the novelty of the new place which even had a few kid games & books. They liked the miniature sink & shower opening into the bedroom and could have slept there comfortably in the trundle beds. The main bathroom had been refreshed and the kitchen was well supplied. There were a few very loud late night conversations partly because the house abuts the bike path, but otherwise that traffic didn’t bother us. The driveway was a bit tricky to find te first time, but it was great to have a designated spot rather than dealing with street parking regulations. Dining and shopping were convenient for walking or biking, and Scott’s relatives, and their dog, Bella, who share this duplex were very friendly and helpful.

charming bungalow on a leafy Berkeley side street

The small house was a perfect size for our family of 4 including grown-up children. Three of us stayed in the house using the very comfortable double bed in the main bedroom, and the trundle bed in the second bedroom (although I believe the couch might be a sleeper as well). Everything was spotless. The shady garden was full of flowers and blossoms to greet us each time we came home. Relatives who lived next door were extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations and advice. The parking space was handy, although the street was very quiet, and it is within a block of a BART station.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our needs while visiting family in Berkeley. The house was very clean, the master bed was extremely comfortable, and downtown Berkeley was a short 25 minute walk. The North BART station was just a block away which made for an easy day trip into San Francisco. Scott was very helpful in responding to questions. Highly recommend this place.

Kind Hosts & thoughtful arrangements

Well-stocked kitchen, great bed, many sensible amenities. Had many things I've missed in other places: a collander, sharp knives, a broom, good books, tissues, a friendly close neighbor. Scott & his partner were lovely & kind. Location is next to BART & the Ohlone Greenway (a people & bike route that cuts through town). Fabulous!

Great place!

I recommend this place highly! It's really clean, well kept, and spacious - and the proximity to BART can't be beat. The host was super responsive, clear, and available, but not overbearing. Best part: the kitchen is properly stocked with equipment. The host has thoughtfully included anything you might actually need to cook, not just a prefunctory dull knife you often find at short term rentals. Great stay.

Perfect home for our Berkeley vacation!

We planned a 2 week vacation at Scott’s VRBO, because it fit all our needs: great, safe location near our son’s work, a dedicated off-street parking space, a full kitchen with all appliances and cookware needed to bake a birthday cake and fix a Thanksgiving dinner, dining table to seat four adults, full living room plus a desk/table for our family to gather and play games, washer and dryer, and great ratings from prior guests. This place was wonderful, and Scott was a very kind, helpful, and thoughtful host. He had suggestion lists, guide books, and maps for anything you'd like to do. The next door neighbor is also friendly and has great recommendations too. The house was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, the neighborhood had fun eateries and shops within 1/2 mile, and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We would love to come again!

We enjoy going to the fresh bakery, farmers markets, restaurants, music and plays all within a short distance. We are within walking distance to The University of California Berkeley.

Being across from BART you can travel the Bay Area without a car. We are next to a bicycle / walking path. There are three children's play grounds within walking distance.
