Well-appointed mountain cottage
We liked everything about the place, especially location and all amenities. While we missed having a working fireplace, the beautiful weather made up for it. The host gave us great tips for excellent nearby restaurants.

Ladies getaway
The long private driveway opens up to a beautifully kept home nestled in the mountain side . A short walk from the house is a wild creek where I spent most of my mornings enjoying my coffee and taking in the peace and serenity of the Colorado wilderness. The home was clean, simple, and elegant and had everything we needed to keep ourselves entertained and well fed during our 4 day exploration. 6 of us slept comfortably in the home and took advantage of the walk in SPA/shower and outdoor hottub. A 40 minute drive, and we were in beautiful Morrison enjoying dinner and a show at the Red Rock's Amphitheatre which was a bucket list venue for us. We ventured into town closer to home (about a 10 minute drive) for super market trips and local shopping. The locals were lovely people and super accommodating. Would love a return trip. Highly recommend.

Better than even the pictures show
This is a charming cabin tucked in the woods that has been completely remodeled. It has all of the modern conveniences yet the cabin charm. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s even better. We didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub or steam room. Restaurants take about 20 minutes to get to and there’s lots to do in the area if you are outdoors people . The owner/manager was great to work with as well!

About the host

Host profile image
Sheri and John started their vacation rental journey in Bailey in 2018 with the River House at Morning Air Ranch. With John now retired, we decided to grow a little and acquired two adjoining properties--Two Bridges Lodge and Jack's Place--at the end of 2022. We are now full-time hosts and love the opportunity to provide unique lodging opportunities for guests to come enjoy our awesome part of Colorado.

Why they chose this property

Jack's Place caught our eye the moment we walked onto it. Nestled in the woods in a very private setting next to the national forest, its Craftsman-style design was calling for a refresh and updating to modern standards. We have done that, and are thrilled to now offer a beautifully modern, but tastefully retro home to our vacation guests.

What makes this property unique

This house is amazingly private, located down its own wooded lane and tucked against the national forest. You can literally hike out into the forest from your yard here, or hike down the private path into the meadow along the river.

And if you want something truly unique, walk out the driveway and down the road a couple hundred feet to the newly remodeled Coney Island Hot Dog stand for a meal and a glimpse of local history. You can also browse the Fun and Funky gift store next door to Coney Island with a wide selection of local arts and crafts.
