About this property

Charming and exclusive vacation home in the center of Lari. The ideal vacation for those who want to combine charm and relaxation. A modern kitchen has been created in the old 'limonaia' of the house and a large stone table is perfect for your breakfast in the sun! A tree-lined avenue leads to the swimming pool, which is located below the house and offers a magnificent view over the valley. The house is on three levels, with spacious and equipped rooms, in one of the two large living rooms there is a pool table. The house is located next to the walls of the castle of Lari, which you must visit, and in the historic village there are small stores that sell the best products of local tradition. Within a radius of 25-30 km you can reach the charming cities of Pisa with the famous Piazza dei Miracoli and the world famous Leaning Tower, Lucca with its imposing city walls, the coast of Pisa with its extensive beaches, and for those seeking wellness and relaxation, at 7 km there are the thermal baths of Casciana Terme. Do not miss the interesting small museums in the area: the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera, which tells the story of the mythical Vespa, the Naturalistic Museum of the Certosa di Calci and the largest freshwater aquarium in Italy, the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Vinci. On the property there are five parking spaces, next to the house is ITP586 with separate entrance.

Violent Neighbour. Owners aware. Terrible

A serious issue with the rental. We suggest to avoid at all costs. The following information is entirely true. The Villa is owned by a company, who also own the Villa next door. There is a further property attached to these villas which has a person living there who has caused numerous issues to guests over many rentals. We were swimming one night, and this Neighbour took offense, so threw rocks and bricks at us in the pool. Some were large enough to break the tiles around the pool. He didn't say anything, just began throwing. We discussed this with the caretakers. They told us they 'have had multiple issues with this person. He has caused many problems and has become violent with the guests in the past.' We have an audio recording of this which we can share. We requested to leave the Villa early, as we have small children who were terrified, but the rental company and owners both refused to refund our money for the remaining three nights. Knowing full well that this person has caused issues before. This individual lives there full time and if you stay there, there is a good chance you'll meet him. Aside from this the house is rather sterile, and you cannot touch or use many of its features. In addition the pool table is for show rather than use, so you have to request multiple times for the balls and use of it. There are lots of bedrooms but these are extremely hot, and the owners only provide two fans, one which doesn't work. Awful.
