Very spacious and comfortable. Supply all the amenities needed for our short stay home away from home. It was my son’s bday and his friends and I enjoyed staying at the home. Will definitely book again.

thank you for your kind words! we hope you can stay with us again.
The host was very response and the property was nice. Plenty of space for my family to roam apart from each other or be in the same room chatting. The few issues we had were addressed with the property owner. Location wise it cannot be beat. It was centrally located to most of the things we were doing for the weekend and had plenty of street parking which was a plus.

Thank you! Check in and out process was great and my family really enjoyed their stay. Quiet neighborhood with no concerns, easy access to expressway so was able to travel to a lot of amazing activities. Host was available immediately to answer any questions! Will definitely book again.
Property is exactly as described. Clean, comfy and well-appointed. Very close access to CTA Red Line, this made travelling downtown daily a breeze. We would definitely book again!
The location was very convenient. Downtown was moments away. The decor and house was beautiful and spacious. The owner was very sensitive to our needs. We appreciated a clean friendly environment inside and out. I would select this location again.

Place was absolutely not even remotely close to what appears in photos. Everything felt like it was falling apart down to the shower heads. Cleanliness of the place wasn’t what appeared to be in the photos. There was what seemed to be dog/cat hair everywhere along with woman’s hair all along master restroom. Reached out about cleanliness and all I got was that it had been cleaned. They then filed a report after my stay saying I broke the dishwasher, which it was never used. And they filed a report that the attic had been flooded, also not the case. Would advise to not book the location is in a horrible part of town as well.

Weekend Stay
The house was neat and clean but in a questionable neighborhood. Basic amenities were lacking such as towels in the powder room and kitchen, hand soap in the master bath. There was no instruction sheet for Wi-Fi password or how to disarm the door alarm.

I really wish you would have let me know these things as I would’ve accommodated whatever concerns you had. From my understanding there was unused linen left over from your stay.
Plenty of towels and wash clofts.
Also if I can recall I’ve gave you all
Instructions for both the Wi-Fi and called right away when you asked about the alarm. Our neighborhood is very quiet, clean and respectful.
Our neighbors are working professionals and also look after the home as a community. If there was a concern to why you would think the neighborhood is questionable I wish you would have told me and I would’ve answered any questions or concerns you might’ve had. We apologize on your experience as this rating will hurt our listing for future guests who decide to give us a try. We hope we could’ve accommodated you better if you would’ve gave us the chance.

1 star on amenities
The good news, the house was close to where we wanted to be. The the bad news, amenities (sheet and blankets) were not readily available. There were dirty sheets in a closet. 90% of the closets were a mess. When we stripped the beds at check-out time the pillows were disgusting with big yellow stains. The kitchen does not have a set of dishes, dish towels, salt and pepper. The bath rooms were either difficult to figure out, or just dysfunctional.

We’re sorry Jill had this experience, and we’ve addressed all of her concerns. The closets she accessed were restricted but were well-organized. Despite this, we did not charge Jill for rummaging through them to find extra linens for additional guests who were not initially planned. All of our linens are freshly washed, and the ones Jill received were brand new. While there is one pillow with a bleach stain, I assure you it is clean and was provided as an extra.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and even martini and rocks glasses. There were four sponges available for dishwashing, as well as salt and pepper. We were also very responsive during Jill’s stay, and if she needed anything, we would’ve been happy to assist. However, she didn’t raise any of these issues with us, which has unfairly impacted our listing when we only hosted her with kindness and care. It seems she were frustrated upon arrival and attempted to enter through the back door, which was never indicated as an entry point. Her neglect to follow the instructions on the listing appears to have contributed to these frustrations.
Let me start with the welcome letter and bottle of vodka from our host set the tone for a wonderful visit. In my communication to Chantal before we arrived I told her that I was coming with friends to attend a House music festival. She incorporated that info into her welcome note. The home was clean, updated and huge. I noticed others talked about the area. The house is on a street with 4 other houses. The house next to us is being renovated and the other two house have well maintained yards. There is an open lot to the left of the house, no issues there. The house is fenced in and has a seating area in the back that we took advantage of. The rooms are large and the kitchen was hangout spot for us. It was the perfect set up for 5 of us. I was very pleased!

Deceiving pictures
The front of property is showing an aged photo, in actuality, the neighbor’s home is boarded up. Literally, across the street is the metro train with a lot of lights shining thru the windows. There is black mold in grate in living room. No hot showers except master bedroom. The air was super hot in basement and very cold upstairs. The weather was very windy and cold and was coming under the front door. Unfortunately, I don’t think that $50 refund for six adults trying to get ready for our father’s funeral was acceptable or in any circumstance.
Good morning! The property was in a prime location however next to an abandoned building. There were security cameras everywhere which made the ladies feel safe. Upon entry my husband did a walk through to make sure the property was empty. We did nor like the fact we couldnt open certain doors. Those doors that should not have been open need locks instead of charging a fee. In todays climate everything needs to be checked. To make sure visitors are safe from video camera's being hidden. Paper towels nor extra garbage bags were not provided. Usually when visting a vrbo those essentials are provided. The house didnt stay cool. The master suite was hot and the ceiling fan once turned made a loud noise the occupant did not get much sleep. The upstairs bedrooms were hot even with ceiling fans.
The house however is exactly what the post described. We loved the setup we loved the art work. We loved everything about the house. We would definitely use the property again if need be.
Thank you
I booked this home with the intentions of having Thanksgiving here. I even messaged the host PRIOR to booking & let them know. Upon arrival, ON Thanksgiving day, I was quickly smacked in the face with a less than subpar kitchen. I contacted the host & she did respond that her kitchen is minimalistic. I said um no, it's gross & there isn't usable kitchenware. She did ask what I needed (everything) & offered to bring by what was needed. My daughter had to run to a Family Dollar & buy kitchen things. The things IN the kitchen were absolutely disgusting. The 1 cookie sheet was SO rusted. The host said a prior tenant must've left it. The house sleeps 12 yet there were only 3 butter knives & 7 forks. We wouldn't use any of them, we bought plasticware. The trash can in the kitchen is FILTHY. There is food & dust balls all under the cabinets. The bed sheets upstairs-1 bed had blood spots on it, the other bed had mascara all over the pillow case. We had to make the beds w/ "fresh" sheets. The downstairs bedroom had no pillows. Just pillow shams. There was stuff left in the dryer. The "housekeeping" doesn't keep. This house has SO much potential. However I'd rather have eaten off of the kitchen ware from the people in tent city down the street. We couldn't take anymore & left early. Even changed my flight it was such a bad visit. I asked for a refund but host said she'd look into the "cleanliness" lack thereof. Would not recommend. Will not go back here.

Courtney, your statement is false and dishardening. We allowed you all
To check in early and the home was cleaned and checked by myself and the house cleaner. We left you all a bottle of wine to celebrate your welcome to Chicago. The cookie sheet was a bit rusted left by a past guest, but that was your only complaint you had in which I offered to pick up a new cookie sheet for you and was willing to meet whatever accommodation you had. I explained there was plenty of cooking ware in drawer 3 which had everything from a turkey baser to even baking measuring equipment. You had a discounted rate for thanksgiving and our goals were to make sure you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. You left and demanded a refund because you said it was blood and mascara on the sheets. I did not know you were checking out and would be happy to give a refund upon me checking the home about your concern. When I checked the home there were no mascara and blood on the sheets nor do I have pictures sent to me. Nor were there cotton balls / dust balls. There was linen in the dryer but that was towels. We had plenty of extra linen and pillows for every room so I’m unsure how did that comment come about. I believe the reality is that you decided you wanted to stay somewhere else because of a baking sheet and demanded a refund for false accusations. You complained about the alarm announcing when the door opens and closes and once you called I immediately fixed it for you.
