Great cabin in Tahoe. Well-appointed, comfortable, and excellent location. Very easy check in process and host was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!
This is one of the best vacation rentals I have experienced. From the beds to the super comfortable patio furniture to the decor and the heaters on the patios, everything was wonderful! There were plenty of nice towels to go around, we used the beach chairs and toys, and the kitchen was well stocked. It is a perfect location, close to everything. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
We stayed here over Christmas break and had a wonderful time. Everything in the cabin is so thoughtfully arranged and it has everything you need for a cozy family getaway. The host is lovely and we hope to come back again!
We loved the cabin, especially the interior. The kitchen was lovely and our beds were so comfortable. I wish we had been told that there was no cell phone reception at the cabin because all of my information from Greg was on my phone i.e. the code and other info
We rented the cabin during winter school break, coinciding with a huge snow storm. Even if temperature was freezing, the cabin was warm and cozy and had everything we needed to cook at home and was very clean.
We had a fantastic time, will be back!
This is such as nice, clean little cabin/house that fit our two small families perfectly! We enjoyed the back deck for dinner which had plenty of seating options. My only “complaint” is that the front door did not have any latch or lock from the inside so it got tricky with a toddler trying to escape. Other than the door issue, this is a wonderful place to stay!
We had an amazing stay at Chad’s cabin and couldn’t have asked for a better setup for two families. The layout was perfect, especially the bunk room for the kids, they absolutely loved having their own space, and it worked out so well for everyone. The location was ideal: easy access to both South Shore and Tahoe City, with tons of activities, dining, and outdoor fun nearby. Getting around was simple and convenient, which made the trip even more relaxing.Chad was an outstanding host and extremely responsive and thoughtful. The extra touches really stood out, from sleds for the kids to enjoy in the snow to a great selection of board games for cozy nights in. One of our favorite surprises was the heated blankets on the beds, such a huge plus! Every bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to unwind after full days of fun.Overall, this cabin exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable, well-equipped, family-friendly, and perfectly located in a beautiful neighborhood. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling with families or kids.
We hadn't ever stayed in the Tahoma area as we are usually closer to Sunnyside/West Shore Market and were going out of our comfort zone...and boy are we glad we did! Cabin is in what I would call a "hidden gem" neighborhood not far from Chambers. Very well appointed, don't think pictures do it justice. Even got to see a bear which was fun for all of us! Look forward to staying again.

Hi Julie, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. We enjoy Tahoe in general but think this location is pretty hard to beat. Enjoy the rest of your summer out on your Boat and thanks for taking the time to review our property.
We loved our stay at this adorable cabin in Tahoma!! The kitchen was well stocked, the common space was super cozy and just the right size for our family of five to stretch out and enjoy a movie night and most importantly (to us) the beds were all SO comfortable and clean feeling. An added bonus was that the bunk room beds were full size and built in so even our 12 year old had plenty of room to lounge and the set-up did not feel wobbly or unstable - perfect for all ages. Would highly recommend this cabin!!
This place was amazing. It felt like a brand new house!
Everything was perfect. I have stayed in lots of VRBO's over the last 5 years, mostly for long term deployments as a general contractor. This particular cabin far exceeded all other VRBO's by miles.
It is only a few minutes drive to Homewood ski area, one of the best kept secrets on the West Shore, if you like uncrowded groomers of powder after a fresh snowfall.

Hi Tim, Appreciate the great feedback but unfortunately you didn't check all the stars so it gets counted by VRBO as a low review. If you can update it would be great but either way appreciate the kinds words about the cabin.
Super clean and well supplied house, perfect size for our family of two adults, our college age son and high school daughter. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, kitchen table was good size for game nights, sectional couch was inviting for hanging out. Deck was wonderful for morning coffee and looks great for evenings too but we were inside mostly at night due to it being a buggier year. Quiet neighborhood with ample size yard that gave privacy from surrounding homes (not always the case in Tahoe). Bunk room has full size beds and looks brand new along with the attached bathroom- beautiful. My teen daughter very much enjoyed this space. Plan to return to this home again as it met all our needs.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback. I look forward to hosting your family and the "dogs" in the future :)
This house was so comfy and welcoming! We visited during the winter and it warmed up nicely using just the gas fireplace. The central heating system also worked great when we needed it. The beds were super comfortable with a perfect variety of pillows and luscious layers of blankets! A well-stocked and spacious kitchen made meal prep seamless. The bar and dining area were laid out nicely, as was the living room, making a very comfortable gathering area for our party of five. The owner was very communicative and easy to reach when we had questions. The location was great; it was an easy drive to Emerald Bay and Tahoe City. This was our first time on the west side and we loved that it was so much less crowded than other parts of the lake. I highly recommend this property! The next time we come to Tahoe, this will definitely be our first choice!

Thanks again Emily for the kind words. Hope to see or hear from you in the future.
This is a well-appointed, comfortable home in McKinney Estates, a development in Tahoma not far from the Rubicon Trail. Quiet neighborhood; very safe. No problems with bears due to bear wires (easy to use) surrounding the whole house. Easy drive to great state parks and beaches on the West Side.

This group did not follow the rules. I accepted the reservation with 7 people and they decided to think 14 was ok.....Not cool. Certainly won't rent to her again.
We bought this cabin in 2021 and have absolutely enjoyed our time spent here. We've put a lot of love into this place to refresh it with updated furniture, bedding, a new bunk room and bathroom and everything you could need in the kitchen! We've created a relaxing place on the back deck, for BBQing or playing games and added a gorgeous covered front patio where you can sip your morning coffee or enjoy a cocktail at night - turn on the patio heaters and stay warm all year round! We absolutely love this area, it is quiet and peaceful and the cabin is quite private. We love walking or biking up the Rubicon trail, or walking down to Chambers Landing for a punch or nice dinner. The bike trails out of the cabin and along Hwy89 are fantastic! West Short Sports rentals provides anything you could need to enjoy the great outdoors: bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, ski/snow board equipment, snow shoes ... and more! Tahoma market is a short drive from the cabin and offers anything you may have left behind, visit their deli for delicious sandwiches and more! We love how close we are to so many amenities: Obexer's where we easily launch our boat to enjoy a day at the lake; Meek's Bay where you can set up shop on the sandy beach, paddle board, play beach volleyball and enjoy the sun. Our family loves to head into Tahoe City and raft the Truckee river every summer, either renting rafts from one of the couple companies or bringing our own tubes where you can drop off and park a car at the lot across from Fanny Bridge, just past BridgeTender restaurant (then park a 2nd car down near River Ranch Lodge where you can grab lunch and drinks afterwards). In the winter, you can't beat the short drive to Homewood to hit the slopes at a small family ski resort with some of the BEST views of the lake. Don't miss a drink at Big Blue View Bar in the middle of the mountain - and soak in the breathtaking views.
Why they chose this property
We absolutely love how quiet this area is relative to other parts of Tahoe, and the 'old tahoe' feel you get while here. Unlike many lots in Tahoe, ours is quite private with no direct neighbors given the Tahoe Conservancy land to the right and behind us, and the vacant lot on the left that's owned by our neighbor to the left. There are plenty of restaurants nearby without having to go into Tahoe City, but that's just a short drive further and offers quite a few more activities including mini golf, ice skating, restaurants, movie theatre, ice cream, shopping, museums ... and more! While we always enjoy a night out, we also savor a quiet evening in grilling on the back deck or cooking as the kitchen has everything you could need to fix the best meals! We provide a cabinet full of games, darts on the back deck, with yard games, beach toys, sleds in the winter - and have a Christmas tree up Thanksgiving through New Year's. There are so many great hikes you can do right out of the cabin and can snowshoe in thew inter ... we love taking our quad up into the Rubicon and exploring while taking in the amazing views. Obexer's is just a 5 minute drive away and provides one of the few places to launch a boat on the lake, we love spending a day buzzing around the lake. Homewood is across the street from Obexer's and our favorite place to ski in Tahoe, as it's so easy to pull right in and park and you rarely wait in lines at the lifts throughout the day. Plus, you can't beat the views from Big Blue Bar up on the mountain. We hope you'll enjoy our cabin as much as we do ... we've made so many fun memories there, and know you'll do the same!
What makes this property unique
Our cabin has newer furnishings and bedding throughout, lots of fun games and best of all a quiet and private lot where you can enjoy the outdoors either on the back deck or NEW covered front porch ... and hardly see another person. We continue to improve this property and hope you'll appreciate all it has to offer! The family room has a smart TV where you can enjoy movies, and sufficient space to play games around the sectional sofa or at the dining nook.
