About this property

Large 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom cabin, steps from beautiful Heart Lake in northern Michigan. Sparkling deep lake in a gorgeous wooded setting allows you to relax while enjoying water sports, fishing, working from home or reading a book. All sports lake: fishing, boating, skiing, paddleboards and kayaks all allowed on the lake. Lake has no wake from 7:30 pm until 11:30 am allowing for quiet evenings and mornings on the deck.

Hike, bike, ORV or snowmobile right from the front door!

A 30 to 60 minute drive will have you in Mackinac City, Boyne Mountain, Traverse City or some other great destination locations!

For winter, the cottage is just 100 yards from one of the main snowmobile trails that connect with hundreds of miles of other trails. Nearby Treetops has downhill skiing and the cottage is close to the Otsego Ski Club. With some of the best snowfall in Michigan, Otsego County is in the heart of all of the winter activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding.

The house includes 2 two-car garages -- one attached and one detached -- so you can leave your recreational toys if you rent more than a week or a month allowing you to travel back and forth downstate. Snowmobiles will be allowed in the detached garage only

The house includes a large master bedroom with a king bed and large private bath, the second bedroom is over the garage and includes a king bed plus an open area with a double bed and a sitting area and a private bath, third bedroom with a double bed off the living area, the fourth bedroom is a loft with three single beds and a queen bed. There is a third bath off the living area. The living/dining area is open with a vaulted ceiling, electric fireplace and windows that look out on the lake. Total the house sleeps 11.

Great Stay

This house was perfect for our family. We came to snowmobile and ski, but due to the lack of snow we were only able to ski. This house was about 30 minutes from Boyne Mountain. The house was clean and stocked very well with all of the necessities, plus some. Although we came for the winter we also believe it would be a great place to come back to during the summer. It was easy to check in and check out of. We had absolutely no issues so we never had to contact anyone. Thank You for the use of your property, our family had a great time all together!!

The house was very nice as was the setting. Our only complaint was that the carpet throughout the house was very dirty.

We had an issue with plumbing that was fix right away. We had to fill up BBQ tank but were reimbursed for the cost. Other than that the place was nice and suited a large group.

Family Vacay

This is the 2nd year we have stayed in this house. The new owner did some awesome updates and it shows!! Loved the painted kitchen cupboards, the area above the garage was totally redone, and the addition of the gazebo by the water and kayaks were great! Our daughter’s boyfriend brought his bass fishing boat and everyone enjoyed going out and trying their luck! They even caught some bass right off the sock! All the kids tried the kayaks and we had fires every night! The house is roomy enough for a family of 8 and a new baby! The lake was quiet and we enjoyed listening to the loons. We have already booked it for next year!!
