This has definitely been the cleanest most comfortable place I've ever had the pleasure of staying at.It was only 4 miles from the event we participated in.If you needed to shop or dine, everything was close by.
This place is nothing but first class in every category. All the details are there including good labeling and night lights. They thought of everything! Very well done and definitely would return

Thank you, Paul. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to host your group next year!!
This was the most well stocked home we have rented and beautifully decorated. The pet rules were a little stringent. I didn't read the details as carefully as I should have and thought entire home meant that we had the house and porches to ourselves.
Everything was great. The rooms were clean the kitchen was well stocked we had wood for the fire pit. We loved the town of Franklin. We were book again.
We had a wonderful stay in this rental- beautiful river view and access, house was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, everything you'd need for your stay, and hosts were quick to respond. Franklin is a lovely town. We're hoping to stay again!
What a fantastic river retreat! The house was immaculate and very well equipped. The location was perfect for our family gathering. Many trips up and back to Bandstand Park along Elk Street. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
The house is an older home but very well kept. It is right on the Allegheny River which presents itself for making wonderful memories by the fire pit. The stairs are steep going to the upper level of the home. Keep that in mind , mobility wise. We had a great time here, close to town pretty easy to get around. I would definitely rent again
This is the 3rd or 4th time we've stayed at Allegheny River Retreat. The house was spotless, and has arguably the best furnished kitchen of any VRBO we've stayed at. Quality cookware; plenty of utensils, silverware, plates/bowls, etc.. And all of the kitchen cabinets and drawers were labeled - so it was easy to find find things. Can't beat being on the river, either. We spent quite a bit of time around the fire enjoying the scenery.
Love coming to Franklin and staying on the river. Excellent communication with owners. Clean and stocked with anything you need. Thank you for sharing your home, it’s our second time and we will be back soon.
We came to town for Christmas. The house was exactly as pictured. Small amount of Christmas decorations and it was the perfect amount.
Clean house with absolutely everything you could want/need.
Hosts communicated clearly and in a timely manner.
Our family spent a week at this rental right on the Allegheny River. The house was very clean, and the furnishings/decor were very modern. Cupboards in the kitchen were labeled so it was very easy to find things—and the owners stock quite a bit, including spices.
We had the good fortune of seeing the July 4th fireworks right in the backyard before lighting a bonfire. We kayaked on the river from OARS, the neighbor on the other side of the public landing. And OARS also hosted a band on Friday night which is open to the public, just BYOB.
Had to deal with some days of rain, but it was relaxing just to veg in the house, do puzzles, play card games, read books, and watch movies.
All in all, a great place to stay and explore Franklin and the surrounding small river towns. Highly recommend and we look forward to coming back!
We had a great time staying at the property. The house was very clean, kitchen drawers/cabinets were labeled so we knew where to find things. It was great being on the river, with easy access to OARS (right next door) for our canoe trip. And a quick bike ride away from the Allegheny River bike trail. Weather was fantastic, too - which made for a wonderful weekend.
My only complaint was that there was a lower unit which was also a VRBO. There was a deck attached to the lower unit- and that was where the grill was. The lower unit was occupied, so it felt uncomfortable going onto 'their deck' to use the grill. We wound up moving it to the concrete pad off the deck, so we didn't feel like we were intruding on guests in the lower until.. We also had to share the backyard with the other guests. Suggest updating the title/listing of the property so it reflects Unit #1 and Unit # 2. We would have probably rented both units if we would have known.
Bottom line- it was a wonderful property and a great location. We'll be back.....
