Welcome to Kirkland Cottage! Located in a townhouse complex that is only a few years old. Just steps to the St Simons Boating Club Marina and adjacent to Gascoigne Bluff green space area. Gascoigne Bluff has 18 hole Frisbee course, a fishing pier and acres to walk among the huge Live Oak trees. On the other side of the complex is the Epworth Methodist Center where you can tour former slave cabins. This an easy off the island location for those who need to travel off the island frequently.

Kirkland Cottage is setup as executive style accommodation. Nothing to apologize for in this unit. 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. All bedrooms are upstairs. Master has a king bed with en-suite bath and the other two bedroom are equipped with queens that share a hallway bath. The entire unit is tastefully decorated and furnished. The TV's provide an ad-free Disney+ package that includes Hulu and ESPN.

Living, Dining, Kitchen and half bath are downstairs. There is a screened in back porch off the living room when you need a little outdoor time. Comes with fully stocked kitchen suitable for any entertaining you may need to do.

CHECK IN: 4:00 pm CHECK OUT: 10:00 am

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants (6 persons).
• One dog permitted with a $100 non refundable pet fee.

Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old - this applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

What to Expect in your Unit:
• Linens (Bath towels & bed sheets) are provided along with a Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bags (Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.)

The only disappointment was the pool was closed all week. Day one was open but green and couldn’t see the bottom, the morning of day two the pool guy said chlorine was a 10 so safe but later that day sign was posted no swimming & next day it was closed so they could drain it which took several days to complete. So NO POOL for our week vacation which was a BIG disappointment. PLUS we had TWO condos rented in the complex for the week & and the majority were not beach/sand lovers. Other than that, the condo was perfect!

Very Nice House

This house is very nice—great furnishings and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room was spacious. There is a very nice and very peaceful screened-in area. The chair needed a cleaning but a nice space. All the bedrooms are a good size. Master is lovely. I saw a few dead bugs in the garage and 1 in the master bedroom. Not happy about that but they were dead and I would not say they had a bug problem. Unfortunately due to Hurricane Helene, we had to cut our stay short. The townhouse was close to the pier and restaurants. Not in walking distance but a short drive. I would definitely stay again and hope a hurricane does not send me fleeing the island.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kitchen is not well appointed at all. Missing several key utensils. Needs new knives, can opener, spatulas, grilling utensils, tubberware, etc. Mouse droppings found in the drawers. Bathrooms were dirty. Floor was dirty. This rental needs a deep cleaning and maintenance. Paper towel holders are coming out of the walls. The only good thing I can say is the beds were very comfortable.

The person who was supposed to change the front door handle & lock left us with only the bolt to secure the door locked. Unfortunate.
