About this property
Beautiful 5 Bed Downeast Acadia Home Ellsworth/Bar Harbor Area on Private Rd
This lovely 2,200 sqft 5 bed home is completely set up for outdoor wholesome family fun! Set in the woods on a private road this charming newly renovated home is in close proximity to Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Winter and Prospect Harbors (hosts annual Aug lobster fest) Acadia National Park Main Entrance (bike path, cycle miles thru pristine woods, streams and lakes) and cool off and watch eagles soar at Jones Pond only .5mi from house off Recreation Rd (really a lake, see 3 pics in photos) with free public boat ramp and parking, picnic and grill area on the lake, fishing, swimming and miles of hiking. Bring your bikes, ATV's (Downeast Sunrise Trail), boat and jet skis (public boat ramp Jones Pond and numerous saltwater public access ramps from Gouldsboro to Ellsworth). There is ample parking at the property for large trailers. Here are some of the reasons the owner, family and beloved black lab Spartacus cherish their time at 7 Luc's Ln: Complete private wooded setting, wildlife and bird heaven, stargazing for hours in complete silence except for the crackle sounds coming from the fire pit and many natural sounds the deep woods offers in the evenings. The home is centrally located in the Down East Maine region including fine and local landmark casual dining to being within mere miles to the main entrance of Acadia National Park Schoodic District or hop the ferry from Prospect to Bar Harbor, a super nice day! This is one of the last remaining pristine coastal and wooded areas in the US. One common thing the owner hears from the many visitors he encounters each year is "My God, this is beautiful country!" Come see for yourself and you will want to come back every year. This home was built in 1996 but was completely renovated this year 2022. Most everything in the home is brand new and ultra clean such as all mattresses, towels and linens.

Your host

My father was an avid camper and skier and it was off to ME in the wood panel Chrysler wagon with mom, brother and 2 sisters every summer to camp Sebego Lake and every winter to ski Saddleback Mt Rangely. In fact, he took mom skiing there on their honeymoon, but I don't know if she ever forgave him lol. As a result, I and the family love everything outdoors; fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, swimming, biking, kayaking and so on. Another passion is cooking, especially with the local fare Maine has to offer so the home's kitchen has everything possibly needed to do just that, please read "additional info" section for more details on this. As I have gotten older, I appreciate more than ever the unparalleled natural beauty, peace, quiet, serenity and safety that my home and Maine (Maine is ranked the lowest crime state in the entire country, a place where folks and visitors alike are respectful) and this area in particular grants us. To me, it is a place where the pursuit of happiness truly ends albeit for a short time, I hope it is the same for you.
PS Dogs are welcome here! We love dogs and consider them every bit part of the family.

Why they chose this property
It's a gorgeous home in a beautiful wooded setting, we're sure you'll want to come back every year for a stay. By the way, ever get a rude awakening by an aftermarket exhaust or subwoofer base pounding at 3 am where you live? Well not here!
What makes this property unique
Come and explore, too much to list. There is lots of literature at the home with calendar events, restaurants, theater, concerts and much more. Miss the city? Bangor is just over an hour drive from the home where Bangor Int'l Airport is located
