The Space:

This first floor STUDIO apartment has a queen sized bed, and lots of space and natural light. The gorgeous bathroom with a walk in shower is off of the bedroom side of the suite. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and dishes for those meals at home. The cool bar type table seperates the space between the kitchen and bedroom. There is a smart TV, internet, and a portable AC for those warmer days. You will love being so close to hiking, restaurants and the quaint village of Southwest Harbor.

The rental was perfect for a friend and I as we visited Acadia. The host was accommodating and allowed us to check in a little bit early. The rental was clean, reasonably priced, and convenient to Acadia and SW Harbor. The only downside of this rental was that while I don't think the upstairs neighbors were intentionally loud, you could hear their movement upstairs pretty loudly in the downstairs unit so they woke us up a few times.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

This location was a perfect spot for 2 people! We loved staying in SW Harbor and on the quiet side of the Island. This cute little spot had everything we needed to cook a quick meal, and lay our head down at night.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our time here and visiting Acadia National Park. This is the quiet side - but there are plenty of delicious restaurants walking distance. There is a bit of a musty smell at times, as others have noted. Overall - would stay here again!

Kitchen amenities were sparse. Heater wasn’t working when we arrived but the owner had it repaired early the next morning and did compensate us. It smelled a little musty as well but was overall ok.

Perfect place for Acadia

My spouse and I loved the unit. It’s pristine, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, the bathroom majestic. Very close to Southwest Harbor, Wonderland and a 20-30 minutes drive to Acadia. We would stay here again.

Modern apartment in SW harbor

Great newly renovated lower level unit in great location in SW harbor. Great location right off Main St, minutes from hikes and 30 min from heart of Acadia but without Bar Harbor crowds.

The outside was pretty run down but clean. The Manager was very responsive and nice. The inside was clean but could have been set up different as there wasn't a comfortable place to sit and watch tv. It would have been easier to access the front door as an entrance. It was close to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor and had some good places to eat close by. The main street traffic was very loud and very busy. Overall not bad but wouldn't stay here again.

Great feedback, thank you so much! I can definately get a different loveseat instead of the two chairs to watch tv. Unfortunately, the front door is antique, and does not have a key and cannot have a doorcode on the antique type handle. It is super close to amenities, and it is downtown SW Harbor. Southwest harbor stay

We enjoyed our stay in southwest harbor. This property was clean and a short walk into town. Also only a short drive to the hiking trails of Acadia mountain. The downside is it is right on the main road so you hear a decent amount of car traffic. Also being on the first floor, you can hear your neighbors above.

Cozy place to enjoy Maine

This apartment was a great spot to enjoy desert island Maine. It’s a short walk from a small, cute town, and is a clean, cozy place to relax. It is well stocked with things you may need (coffee filtered, linens, crockery—though I’d clean everything before using it— and cleaning supplies) The bed is great, and the space is used creatively. Susan was responsive and very kind. The location is pretty good, with Acadia only a 30 minute drive away. As others have noted, it gets very bright in the mornings, so plan to rise early. There is also no grill available, as the listing has claimed, so plan accordingly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Our stay was great! We had a lot of fun sightseeing and exploring! The apartment was fine. There is definitely some type of moisture problem that causes a distinctive odor. Otherwise it was great! Another suggestion would be some type of comfortable furniture to sit on aside from the bed! Overall, great stay!

This is a great space, and close to all of the amenities. This summer has been super rainy, there is an AC in the unit to cool and dry the air. I am not sure if we could fit much more furniture in the space, with the chaise lounge, 2 lounging chairs to watch tv or read, and the two bar stools for dining. Visiting Acadia

The place was the perfect space for just the two of us going in and out after long days of hiking. We did not personally cook but the kitchen had all the essentials if needed to do so. It is on a main road though, my husband is a light sleeper and you could hear the cars all night along with seeing their headlights at all hours. All in all though, it’s in very close proximity to trails, coffee shops, and more. Would recommend to stay!

Southwest Harbor

The quaint blue cottage in Main Street is in walking distance to the town of Southwest Harbor. The house is clean, has an extremely comfortable queen bed, and a fantastic shower. Susan was super responsive with getting us extra towels. My only complaint is the traffic noise and headlights that would shine through the blinds. If the owner would add some blackout curtains this would help with the light coming through the windows.

A Comfortable Stay (but not that quiet)

Clean, comfortable place with fully functional kitchen and a nice bathroom. Lots of natural light from windows and a pleasant porch (most of which is covered) with chairs for reading or relaxing. The only downside is that it can be somewhat noisy. The house is located on a busy road and if I didn't sleep with ear plugs in, I would wake up quite early to the sounds of traffic. There also isn't much sound insulation between this ground-level apartment and the one above it, so I could often hear the footsteps and conversations of the people staying upstairs. Overall a great place, and would definitely recommend it to those who can tolerate some noise.

The location was pretty good. Easy driving access to what we wanted to do. The inside of the place is absolutely cute.. the outside meaning the deck has no view of anything. The grill (gas) had no ignition switxh to light. I did not see any other grill on the property, so i dont believe there is one. Also, it was my first time in Maine and it is a beautiful place. Very green. I thought i would see more flowers outside, even wild flowers., but did not. I feel the outside of the property can be dressed up a little more but honestly it was a beautiful state and very convenient place

Getaway

Place is cute. Cleaning people need to use something else to clean mold in shower and toilet because we had pink mold from the first day in shower and second day in toilet. Plus the landscaping out front should of been cleaned up and the back porch could use some tlc. The noise from the traffic is very noticeable inside while trying to sleep. Having a code lock on front door would of been more convenient to get into the house then always going to the back door to get in. One last thing is the AC would not come on at all and it was on a temporary hold the whole time we were there. I asked for assistance to the lady that came by but never heard anything back. I’m only telling you these things for your information to help with changes you might want to consider.

Thank you for your feedback, although it is after you leave and we cannot address any of it now for your vacation. What a bummer you did not reach out through the many emails we sent you, or the phone numbers we supplied in the guest book, on our site, and in our emails. The water has mineral deposits in it, you are on an island. Your apartment was throughly cleaned before you arrived. It also refers to the mineral deposit in the water in the guest book at the apartment. The AC was not on a temporary hold. The thermostat on the wall for heat, had already met the max temp that was set of 75 degrees since it has been quite warm here. The AC is a window unit. You have to go the the AC and press "ON" for the window unit to work. It works great, and has since we put it in in June! The front door street side is an antique door as shown in the pictures. A door lock with a door code is not possible. We do not hide a key, we thought you would be more comfortable with a door code for security. As is says in the check in instructions you may park in any of the 3 parking spots available if you wanted to park around back. This is a trendy, super clean, newly renovated apartment right downtown in SW Harbor on MDI. You can walk to breakfast and stores, and you are minutes away from all of the amenities. I hope you were able to enjoy them! I hope you find your sunshine on a cloudy day on your next trip!
