A Beautiful Mountain Getaway – Memories to Last a Lifetime! We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! We traveled to the mountains of Southwest Virginia to visit family, and this cabin was the perfect place to call home during our trip. The peaceful surroundings, beautiful mountain scenery, and opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life made this experience so special. My children were able to spend quality time with their Paw Paw, explore the mountains, and make memories that will last a lifetime. Every morning felt like a blessing waking up surrounded by the natural beauty of Appalachia. This trip was especially meaningful to me because I got to share a piece of my childhood and family roots with my children. We couldn’t have asked for a more memorable mountain getaway. We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and hopes of returning again soon!Thank you for being part of such a special family experience!
Lovely property. The property was very centrally located and easy to get to with the directions the host gave to us. It was very close to the Breaks. Some of our group did not go to the Breaks enjoying all the amenities at the cabin instead. We cooked while there, and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking pans and utensils. We enjoyed our stay very much and especially how close it was to everything we needed. The host even had points of interest and restaurant recommendations in an organized folder including lots of information about The Breaks.
Everything was cozy and homey! We really enjoyed the game room, beds were comfy and clean. Could use some paint and attention on the deck and patio side of doors and some old on the handrails of deck. I was satisfied with the price until I received a text VRBO was charging also. I guess I thought everything was included like other companies.Eric was great to work with and generously let us arrive a couple of hours early and let us have a 2 night stay. Wonderful place for a family vacation or friends get together!
Clean house in a quiet location. Well-appointed kitchen and comfortable furniture. The deck overlooking the golf course was a great place to enjoy morning coffee or read. The close proximity to the Breaks was a great perk as we went back twice. This is a beautiful park with amazing hiking, and we saw elk in the area. My family spent a lot of time in the game room and hot tub. The host was also very responsive. We had a wonderful stay!
The home was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. The scenery from the deck overlooking the golf course and mountain was stunning. The location to The Breaks Interstate Park was 1 mile. Would recommend it to anyone going to this area.
This cabin was an amazing spot to stay at to visit Breaks for climbing. It was close to the park and roomy enough for friends. We appreciated being able to cook our own food and relax in the living room and on the porches.
The house was comfortable and well equipped. The deck, hot tub, and ping pong table were a hit. Great communication from the owner. Super close to the entrance to the breaks park. Thanks!
This place was so great! It was far enough away from other people but you do see some golfers during the day. Everything was very clean and so good smelling. Idk what they use but it smelled so fresh and clean without being too over powering. We mostly slept in the master which had a comfy bed. It’s a little tall for us height deficient people haha I enjoyed the games in the basement. The arcade games were so cool! I forgot how fun mortal combat and pac man was! We enjoyed the hot tub the last night we were there when it was 46 degrees. Darby our Havanese is a little old man who enjoyed the luxuries of the cabin on his bed and blanket. It sure does get pitch black so make sure you keep the light bulb lights on the lower and upper decks to be able to see the house from the road if you stay out past dark. We were thankful they were already on when we got there. We did lots of hiking in the area Breaks, pinnacle, tri state park, high knob, little stony falls, the towers, Cumberland gap, and sooooo many overlooks. It’s so close to Kentucky and Tennessee so we hung out in all 3 states. Check out the southern gap elk lookouts. We didn’t really have luck seeing them close but coming down southern gap road there is a gravel pull off and bam 30 or so elk right there. No need to pay for a tour. In all, this was an amazing experience and the host was easy to contact. You won’t regret renting this place!
This cabin allowed our family to make holiday memories for many years to come. It is 100% accurate as the listing reads and their wasn't 1 item out of place when we checked in. We would recommend this cabin for anyone who is looking to escape, relax and enjoy some laughs together!
Comfortable beds, love the power- reclining sofa & loveseat, Baths and kitchen have been recently updated. Pretty view of hillside overlooking Willowbrook golf course from new front deck. The property is quiet and remote. Nearest store, gas or dining choices are a 15-30 min drive.
Beautiful Breaks Interstate park -adjacent lodging
Lovely, well-appointed spacious cabin next to Breaks, a beautiful park. Enjoyed hiking, zip lining, birding, watching kayakers — cabin extremely comfortable, great balcony to watch golfers and nature. Big foodie weekend and the kitchen had everything we needed. Owner was responsive and helpful. Great find.
The cabin was clean, comfortable, private and super convenient to the Breaks Interstate Park. The driveway would be a bit challenging for a larger vehicle.
The view is stunning of the golf course! When outdoor activities are limited due to the heat, the game room was enjoyed.
One of the best accommodations for the area!
My family just returned from a weekend in the mountains. This house met everyone’s expectations, ages 14 to 81! We all had fun, and everybody was comfortable and entertained. Thank you!
A great place to meet our kids and grands- half way! Loved the state park, the coffee on the porch, and spending time in the game area. After the littlest was in bed, the hot tub and games built family memories!
An issue with the code upon arrival was quickly resolved, and while the basement area had a few 8-legged friends that might have been missed in the length of time since the last cleaning, it was neat and tidy.
The driveway and parking worked easy for 2 vehicles and do-able with creative spacing for 3.
Everything about the house was great. The host made it feel like a home, with plenty of linens/towels/etc. NOT a rental. The pantry and fridge were stocked with plenty of essentials. Everything was clean and neat. Loved the hot tub and pool table.
Just be aware that the only yard is on the side of the house and the driveway is very steep.
The view off the front porch was amazing. The back deck was against the side of the hill so no views back there.
If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here again.
We had an awesome family trip at this VRBO! There was plenty of space for everyone, and the home was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The kids especially loved the ping pong table, and the hot tub was the perfect cherry on top after a long hike at Breaks Interstate Park. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of adventure. We would definitely stay here again!
Stayed with my sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Lots for all to do, they loved the hot tub. Stairs are steep but manageable. Suggest updating the listing for improvements they had done in decor, Murphy bed, well supplied kitchen. It was even better than we expected.
