About this property
Perfect Family Retreat in the Center of Town
*** Now booking for summer 2025! Book before January 16th and we can help you book Advance car ferry reservation! *** Incredible in-town home makes for the perfect family summer vacation in Nantucket. This thoughtfully restored historic home is a 5 minute walk from Children's Beach, the ferries, Nantucket Yacht Club, Stop and Shop, and a block away from all the best restaurants and shopping Nantucket has to offer. There is 1 parking spot in our off-street parking space, but you won't even need a car to make the most of your time on Nantucket at 15 Quince. This family home is ideal for a large extended family, a couple of families to share, or a group of wedding guests.
It was recently purchased and renovated to create bright and inspiring living and play spaces - there are more social rooms than bedrooms, including a built in library with floor to ceiling books, an enclosed sun room /movie room, an airy 'champagne room' for hosting cocktails or garden party lunches, a cozy den / movie room, a dining room for 10, and an open chef's kitchen. 15 Quince has also been outfitted with fast wi-fi and work-spaces to suit those who want to work remotely and extend their summer on the beach.
Located on one of the best streets in Town, with amazing neighbors and incredible convenience, 15 Quince will be your Island home away from home.
1st Floor: Walk up the friendship staircase on Quince Street past the climbing roses and enter a bright summer retreat. There is an enclosed sun-room with large L-shaped leather sofa and a 65” TV to host summer movies nights. The sun-room has a half bath, big play space, and french doors that open onto the patio and BBQ area. Across the foyer is the champagne room, an airy living room with big windows, a working fireplace, and built in bookshelves stocked with Nantucket history, puzzles and games. The gem of the house is the library, nestled in the center of the 1st floor, with floor to ceiling books, a working fireplace, and cozy leather club chairs. On either side of the library is an elegant seaside-blue dining room, and a chef's kitchen that has been recently remodeled with new appliances. Off of the kitchen is a bedroom with a double bed and a full bathroom with tub - perfect for anyone who requires a more accessible (no stairs) living space. Behind the kitchen is a mudroom for storing your wet swimsuits and beach towels, and a back door and walkway that leads to street parking on Westminster St.
2nd Floor: Walk up one of the 3 staircases to the 2nd floor (try to find the secret staircase!) where you'll find a small office space in the foyer, and a deep ocean blue living room with big screen TV. There are 3 bedrooms - a spacious queen bedroom in the front room, with a desk, and surrounded by windows, a bright middle room with 2 twin beds, and a primary queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom with a brand new walk in shower. There is a full bath with steam shower in the hallway shared between the other 2 bedrooms.
3rd Floor: Up the curved staircase you'll find the bright spacious attic with views looking across town. Half of the attic is the fifth and final bedroom, with 2 twin beds and a half bath. The other half of the attic is your home office - with a desk and bookshelf - or the ultimate kids playroom - with shelves full of games, books, and legos.
In the basement there is a brand new Samsung washer & dryer, and beach chairs and toys, and accessible baby furniture.
Outside: There is an offstreet parking spot, and overnight street parking. The fenced-in back patio is private and has a gas BBQ grill, table, chairs and umbrella for summer dinners outside under the climbing hydrangeas. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach and outdoor storage for recycling and garbage with weekly collection
