Beautiful place
We loved our stay here!
There is plenty of room for everyone, with everything you may need to make your stay comfortable. We had a big family group, so we rented the cottage as well. The cottage is fitted with all your needs and is an awesome place to rent on its own. We loved the screened porch on the main house, and the fire pit. These 2 places are where we spent most of our time. The neighborhood area was quiet, and the backyard and lake were so peaceful.
Book this place! You won't regret it!
Great property! Lots of room for people to stay and hang out comfortably. Property manager was great and very fast in responding. We will be staying here again.
We have been doing week long whole family vacations for about ten years, This was the best location ever. Property management group, Chatuge Concierge was outstanding!

Great stay!
This was our fourth year staying at Red Door House. Wonderful stay as usual. The back porch of the main house, the yard, firepit, hot tub and dock are all highlights. Great to see a really nice new kayak. Only suggestions for improvement would be to add railing to the walkway leading out onto the dock (tricky for elderly parents as currently configured) and to add a gas grill. Great area for cooking outside but the current selection of grills is meh. Wonderful place overall!

My family had a great time at Red Door Retreat!!
We had a great time at your house and cottage! We love lake Chatuge! Thanks for letting us use your beautiful house! Hope to visit next year!!
Everyone had an amazing time!! Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated with charming touches, lots of room and seating!! Loved the screened back porch with swinging bed!
We had family gather to celebrate 15th and 75th birthdays. The house with the cottage was perfect for our extended family gathering. Bedrooms were comfortable and set up for a large group. Mattresses were comfy. Screened porch was surprisingly the highlight for our family as was the long dinner table that allowed for all of us to eat together for every meal! We also enjoyed the hot tub and kayak.
Great place. Beautiful houses. Beautiful sunrise rigjt on the lake!
This is a wonderful place to stay on Lake Chatuge! We stayed in both houses and we had plenty of room for our families with my adult children and their kids! The decor is gorgeous with wood beams and great views of the lake. The property manager- Priscilla- was great to deal with. We will definitely be back!

Thank you Anita, Thanks for being a great guest. We will happily have you back anytime.
My daughter graduated from Young Harris College this weekend. This property was perfect for our family to gather and celebrate in a beautiful and relaxed environment. Having the cottage allowed for everyone to have a private space in addition to the gathering space.

Looking forward to next year!
We love staying at this beautiful house and cottage! We are looking forward to next year already!! There is one thing, the trees at road. Needs to be cut back for safer.pulling cars out into road!
We rented this property for my Husbands 40th birthday and had friends come from all over the united states to celebrate the ocassion with us. It was absolutley amazing!! The property is beautifully decorated, and was very clean. The staff was easy to communicate with and quickly responded to all of my inquiries. The location and views were amazing! It had everything we could of wanted and more. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home and create everlasting memories with our family and friends! We will definitely be back!!
Our family has a tradition every year to visit places with Christmas light displays. This year we visited the Red Door Retreat and Cottage because it was convenient to the Georgia Fair grounds lights. Our family consists of 6 Adults and 5 grandchildren ranging from 4 to 17. This space was the perfect for our family with enough room to spread out. This house and cottage was everything it says it is on VRBO. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Not to mention a beautiful view too! Would definitely stay here again! I bet it is amazing in the summer!
We were pleasantly surprised with the homes and all the extra space. We had 5 women cooking in 2 kitchens and had everything we needed. We had 10 people and could easily had many more. The views were amazing of the lake in the mornings and the evenings. The beds were comfortable and plenty of linens. We bought firewood and used the huge firepit down by the lake for smores. We had brought out own marshmallow sticks but didn't need them The home had everything you could think of. We will definitely come back this summer!
The house is beautiful and the area is a must see. The only reason I have a four star is because of the kitchen.
We had a party of four and the kitchen was lacking as far as utensils, air fryer, enough trays, and cookware. We are big on cooking and we felt very limited by what they had at the house and some items also need to be replaced as they were very old.
The kitchen items too were not as organized so it was hard to navigate during cooking. The I’ve wasn’t making ice when we needed it too even after the filter was replaced on the fridge. If you are a big party who is into cooking, it’ll be hard with a very limited amount of utensils, cookware, and no air fryer. Other than this, it truly can make it to a 5 star.

Marie, Thanks for your review, however there are tons of utensils and cookware in that kitchen. borderline too much. It is true we don't have an air fryer. We will work on getting the kitchen better organized. The ice maker did have ice when I checked after your departure, but could be that the guest that left before you dumped the tray into their cooler to take with them and it was just having a hard time catching back up.
If you’re looking for the perfect balance of comfort, adventure, and unforgettable views, this is the place. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting, thoughtful, decor, and the incredible list of amenities. The house itself is spacious, cozy, and clearly designed for both fun and relaxation. The master suite feels like a luxury tree with a soaking tub and large shower, while the bunk room was a hit with a teenagers, Full over full bunks with their own ensuite half bath! The kitchen had everything and more. A large dining table for big group meals, wine, fridge, Keurig, and even a screened in porch with a bed swing for lazy mornings with coffee and drinks in the evening.Outside is where this place truly shines. The private dock for our 24’ bowrider and 2 jet skis, kayaks, hot tub, fire pit, fishing (we brought poles) and a stone patio with outdoor lights, made it hard to leave. We all felt like it was our own private escape. The location is ideal, just minutes from Hiawassee and Haysville with plenty of exploring nearby: hiking trails, wineries, and charming, local restaurants. We especially loved hiking at High Shoals Falls, which was only 20 minutes away. The Holm strikes the perfect balance between upscale and down to, ideal for families, couples, or friends just looking to unwind and soak up the #lakelife. We can’t wait to come back!
