This spacious single-level beach home is located on a quiet street with easy access to uncrowded beaches, the historic intracoastal waterway, and the mainland via N.C. 906. Reach the beach with a brief 2-minute drive or 15-minute walk, or bring your bikes to enjoy the scenic commute. You’ll have plenty of room to rest and relax in this welcoming beach oasis featuring 1 king, 1 queen, and 2 bunk beds.

Whether you’re spending a leisurely day at the beach or hiking the Environmental Overlook Trails, Brightside Bungalow will welcome you home with its warm bohemian decor and modern amenities. Built in 2017, the home underwent a complete interior renovation in 2022. Featuring stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, an outdoor shower, 2 screened porches, a fenced yard with fire pit and plenty of private space for you and your family to enjoy, you’re sure to fall in love with this exceptional beach paradise.

You'll have easy access when you arrive using a door code provided prior to your stay. Free private parking is provided in the ample horseshoe driveway. The entire home and yard is yours to use, aside from a small linen closet and outside storage space that are reserved for the home manager.

Be sure to bring beach towels and gear as they are not at the home. We also have referrals to places you can rent gear from if needed.

We'll leave a coffee pod for a full pot of coffee your first morning after the travels in. Also at the home is plenty of hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, etc. Please let us know in advance if there are any items we can help with to ensure your stay is enjoyable!

Hello! We're a pretty wild but typical family in the South that loves doing anything to make memories. After some time in the military, we met and settled in Charlotte, NC where most of our family lives. We share loves of both travel and food. Our 3 boys and each other are our lives these days, and we focus on making each day special.

We purchased a beach home with the primary intent to use as much as we can with our boys but have now decided to share the home with others as well! We hope to expand to more homes in the years to come as we find more places close to our hearts.

Why they chose this property

Oak Island is easy to get to from Charlotte, Raleigh, and other areas in the Carolinas. No big hotels anywhere and there are so many trees and natural areas on the island that give it a unique feel. Beach parking is free everywhere, and the people are always inviting. We love the feeling of getting away and being able to see such clear night skies without any city lights nearby.
