Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Check out instructions are in the house. Please take the trash to the street upon departure, no matter the day. You never know when the next guest is arriving.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
This is a non-smoking house. A $250 dollar fee will be assessed for violations. Trash and recycles go out Monday evening and upon departure.
Please leave all things the way you found them. If the house is found dirty and we are assessed an additional cleaning fee, we will send you a bill.
We love our pups. Please keep your fur babies safe. Let them roam the fenced backyard, but please clean up after them. There are plenty of bags.

Great little getaway for our family

We had a great stay. Our pup enjoyed the yard, the kids had their own space, everything was an easy walk or drive. Jean helped us with a little housekeeping snafu. We appreciated the communication and very much enjoyed the end of our spring break at OKI!

Great vacation find !!!

Property was in a great neighborhood and plenty of parking !!! Inside was very clean and equipped with everything that we needed for our stay !!! It’s a 20 minute walk to the beach so we tried to rent a golf cart but you need to do that ahead of your stay ! We had a wonderful week , beach was beautifull Definitely plan on returning Thank to Jean for sharing your beach home !!!

pretty good beach house

we really enjoyed staying in this house and overall was a great place to stay in my perspective but for my aunts perspective she says the issues she had with it was there was no tv in the other two rooms, only tvs in the living room and in master bedroom. the water makes a sound like it’s screaming at u almost the whole time. there wasn’t curtains in the other room. in my opinion this houses fenced in yard is not suitable for small dogs, there is a gap between the gates on one side of the house and on the other side there’s a gap between the gates and there’s also a gap between the gutter drain and the house, my pitbull was able to stick his head through it and my small pekingese walked right out it without noticing so always supervise ur dogs when letting them in the fenced in yardthe host was very nice and friendly aswell just wish the fence was better bc what if my dog had ran into the road and got hit by a car? i’d hate for that to happen to someone else’s dogs

Lovely but could be cleaner

This house is nice and location is perfect! We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness. There were things left behind from previous renters as well as dust. Furniture and decor are somewhat tired and dingy. Fenced in yard and outdoor shower were great. Homeowner very quick to respond.

Spring break beach trip

Great location. Walking distance to the beach but not close enough to hear the traffic. Great house, open floor plan, master bedroom is away from other rooms, good for a family with teenagers.

Easter weekend stay

Jean made everything so easy and the whole process was very smooth. The house was perfect for us and our dog. The only thing I would change is putting an outside hose to make cleaning dog off after beach easier. Everything was great except for the weather! Loved staying here and will be back.

Oak Island Stay

Very nice home. Perfect for the pets. Homeowners communicate well. Nice location to everything from shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. Very close to the beach or waterway. Open floor plan, screened in porch, fenced yard and outdoor shower a major plus. Quite neighborhood and friendly neighbors.

Immaculate, cute property

Fresh, bright and cute cottage. Well laid out. New kitchen and bathrooms. Owners were very kind and helpful when we had trouble with the TV operations. Great location for getting groceries and going to the beach. Would highly recommend this place and would rent again if we were in the area.

Beautiful, comfortable vacation home

We enjoyed our stay at this Oak Island home very much! The house was spacious and very pleasant to stay in! It was clean, while also being comfortable for our kids and dog to relax in. The king bed was very comfortable. The outdoor shower is super spacious and private. The screened-in porch was nice for watching our dog explore the yard. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The walk to the beach took us 12 minutes and involved crossing a busy road, so we decided to purchase the week parking pass, which made getting to the beach SO easy - we recommend doing that!! There's also a great park near the house and beach with a ball field, playground, splash pad, and skate park, also an icecream shop and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, we had a GREAT vacation and we'd recommend this house to anyone!

Small Get Away

We absolutely fell in love with this property from the moment we walked in the door. We had an enjoyable stay here celebrating my daughter's 19th Birthday. The house was exactly as described, and it had everything that we needed. Although it wasn't a huge problem, the only thing we had trouble with was the television. There were too many channels to select from, so we ended up streaming instead of watching the TV - again, no problem just unfamiliar with that wide of a channel guide. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. The walk to the beach was not difficult and in fact in the evening very relaxing. Jean was very responsive to our questions.

Vacation 2023

We enjoyed our stay but feel that the beds need updated mattresses, especially the one with the double bed. We do a lot of cooking and needed additional bowls for serving and microwaving food. We loved the location and the renovation of the house was very nice. I did realize halfway home that I had left the bells on the back of the front door that our dog hits for going outside. Thank you Jean for always being quick to answer my questions.

I want to go back and stay again soon!

What an absolutely lovely and convenient home this is! I wish we could have stayed longer. The home is adorable and very nicely laid out. Plenty of room, clean and comfortable. We loved the screened in porch and fenced back yard. And the location is amazing. You can literally walk to local shops, restaurants, grocery stores. And it was super quiet at night. I can’t wait to book our next stay!
