About this property

Gorgeous House By The River For A Large Group

This beautifully renovated, uniquely decorated 5 bedroom home is located amidst the redwoods in a lovely, quieter neighborhood just 4 minute drive from town and a short 3-minute walk to river access. Enjoy the lovely open kitchen, dining room, living room space that flows out onto the front deck with additional seating, two cozy day beds and a 6 person hot tub. Heads up... lots of stairs, no bbq and no tv at the house. But the wifi is strong for streaming.
The space
The space has a large washer and dryer. There are two flights of stairs up to the living space, and then the living space has two floors. We do not have a TV as we wanted to create a place to "unplug." But we do have strong Xfinity wifi if you want to bring your devices to stream.

Note: our cleaning fee is high because the house is large and our wonderful, professional cleaners get paid a living wage. Because the house is large, we also have departure requests that include stripping beds and starting laundry. Please understand that this is all necessary to get the house turned around on a timely basis.

Exceptionally responsive and supportive of our stay

We enjoyed our stay, as the host was incredibly responsive to our needs and comments upon our arrival. The host did an exceptional job of accommodating our group's need for a full kitchen, displayed kindness, and made us all feel very welcome. I recommend this stay; it's in an amazing area, close to fun things to do, and in a beautiful area.

Perfect location for a summer getaway

Stayed at this home with a group of friends, and it was a great summer getaway! The location is prime - 5 min walk from the river, and the neighborhood is welcoming and quiet. The rooms were spacious and clean, with fun wallpapers. The house doesn't have an area where the entire guests can lounge and relax (like mentioned on the description) so this house is definitely more so for groups that will be out and about for most of the day and wants a spacious house to rest and sleep in - which was perfect for our trip!

Spacious spot for a group

My partner and some friends wanted time by the river, and this place was fantastic. Five rooms that were clean, spacious, and cool during some hot summer days. The wallpaper gave it some character, and it was well stocked with all the essentials. The hot tub saved us as the night grew chilly. We appreciated the kitchen area for our meals, too. I hope to return again!!!

Golf Trip

7 guys out for our annual golf trip. We played Northwoods on Friday then checked into the house and went out for dinner. We played Bodega Bay on Saturday. The house was nice to chill out after a fun golfing day. We made breakfast in the morning. Shopping was close by. Guernville is a short drive away, too long to walk.

Relaxation

12 friends got together for a getaway and other than the stairs, which we were warned about, it was great. Plenty of parking and only a mile walk into town. The owner, Hugh, was amazing! We were talking about renting this place again in the summer!
