Welcome to the River's Edge Retreat- we are so honored you're here.

Our quaint cottage provides one of the most scenic, secluded and tranquil stays in the upper peninsula. Our location provides total relaxation and the perfect amount of room for a wonderful family vacation. Relax with a cup of coffee in the morning on the deck enjoying the view of the river, have a campfire under the stars at night, enjoy a dip in the beautiful water, host a family barbeque, play any yard game you want on the beyond spacious property, take some day trips to the famous Munising, Marquette, or Manistique to sight see and explore, and after a very busy-or not busy day, be sure to keep the windows open and let the river lull you to sleep.

The cottage is fully equipped with all your vacation needs. Fully stocked large kitchen, provided bed linens, a washer and dryer, smart TV, plenty of space for your family and more.

We are located just over a mile down dirt roads- but promise its worth for the total seclusion and privacy. Our location is also ideal for Snowmobile and ATV/ORV riding with trails located nearby.

Just beautiful

It was such a beautiful property, just how it looks in pictures! We had a great time. I would definitely stay again. Loved that there is fans in the bedrooms, for people who love the fan noise! Very nice property!

Never Stayed at Property

The property rules prohibited us from staying at the property. Communication was good. I blame it on myself for not asking for the entire set of rules in advance of paying in full. I did ask for the cleaning and dog fee to be refunded. The owner has not responded. Property looks nice...just bad fit based on my misunderstanding of how VRBO operates. I would have appreciated knowing the property rules before making payment.

A Beautiful Journey. Rapids are amazing and peaceful.

We pulled up to a well maintained house. Somewhat newly remodeled. There’s a large open lot with beautiful rapids from the Escanaba rapids in the back yard. Our grandkids had an amazing time exploring the property. We’d stay there again in a heart beat.

Nice relaxing spot

The River house was such a relaxing spot. Close enough to everything we wanted to explore. Beds weren’t all that comfy but the location made it worth it. Nice secluded and quiet with a lovely view.
