Good place to stay

We had a great time here! There’s a beautiful lake right in front of the house, and I absolutely love the sunrise view. The house feels like a home stay, with everything you need easily accessible. The living space is spacious and comfortable. The only drawback is that the heating in the bedroom is a bit noisy when we staying there. Overalls, it’s a lovely place to stay.

Happy Fishing Home Base

Hosts Marcus and Sarah are super friendly and helpful. The property was comfortable, extremely clean and roomy. Served as the perfect home base for a week of fishing adventures, including the reservoir behind the house. End of the road peaceful but less than 10 minutes from gas, groceries, restaurants, etc. Highly recommended!

Great hideaway !

Beautiful waterfront property. Just far enough off beaten path to provide solitude. Clean, organized, casual atmosphere. Older home in very good shape with modern amenities. Very relaxing. Thanks to all that participated in providing the level of quality presented.

Nice and cute house

We had a great stay, but we were expecting a more private area. This is 1 of 3 homes that share a large yard and fire pit area. Not a big deal, no one bothered us, but just be aware that it's common space around the house. Marcus had great communication and us arriving at night was no problem. The check in/out was super easy!

UP Getaway

Did a couple day UP adventure on motorcycles with a friend and my son! Great location for the places we wanted to visit. Only downfall was the railroad tracks crossing the driveway. Scraped up my custom rear fender pretty good! Hosts were great, house was clean, appreciated a the nice grill to cook dinner. Would totally return if the opportunity arose :-)

The view was amazing from the closed in front porch. It was peaceful and serene there by the river. The home was a wonderful stay. Clean, spacious, and felt like home. The location is conveniant if you want to explore Lake Michigan or Lake Superior. We met with the owner who lives on site, he was kind and inviting,but never intruding. Will definately keep this place in mind for future trips.

Peaceful, quiet location

This was a great place for us to stay to catch up with friends since moving away. The owner lives next door but gave us privacy. He was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Our kids enjoyed playing with his very friendly dog, Luna!

Fantastic stay!

Great vacation with the family. The host answered any questions quickly. The views of the river and wildlife were phenomenal. Near everything, yet secluded. Great hidden gem!

Cool house and story

This was a really well kept and CLEAN old house, complete with the creaky stairs. We loved that the owner was right next door when we needed to turn the furnace on for the first time this season. Friendly and so responsive! Will definitely stay there again next time we are visiting family on the area.

A lovely stay

This is a wonderful 100+ year old house with a beautiful view of the Escanaba River. Easy 10-minute access to Escanaba, good location as a home base for traveling to various locations (lighthouses, waterfalls, etc). Host Marc was very accessible by text and quickly responded to any questions or needs. I will definitely stay here again when traveling back to the Escanaba area.
