Perfectly placed on an oversized in town Petoskey lot with plenty of privacy, the Cedar House is a great getaway for backyard BBQs, bonfires, and enjoying vacation like a local! If biking is your thing, then once you arrive you can ditch your vehicle and jump on the Little Traverse Wheelway (bike path) that extends from Charlevoix all around Little Traverse Bay over to Harbor Springs (bikes & helmets provided with a signed waiver). The Petoskey State Park (beach access) is also just minutes down the bike path or it's a one block walk to catch the beautiful Lake Michigan sunsets. Head the opposite direction on the bike path and pop into downtown Petoskey for lunch and shopping. Want to walk to grab a cold beer? A local favorite, Ron's Bar & Backyard, is right next door and complete with a jukebox and shuffleboard table. This location doesnt get any better!

This adorable 4 bedroom, 2 bath cottage is freshly updated and ready to provide a relaxing vacation with its clean presentation and simple decor. Enter through the front door into a cozy living area which is great for watching TV, playing games, or enjoying drinks. The large dining room table is also a great place to gather around for meals or puzzles. Do not miss the cute coffee nook to grab your morning cup of energy. The kitchen appliances are all brand new as well! The main level also offers two cute bedrooms and one fully updated bathroom. Upon taking the steps upstairs onto the beautifully refurbished wood floors, you will find two more bedrooms and another updated bathroom. The spacious primary-like bedroom offers a king bed, modern bedside lighting and small desk area. Walk down the hall to the second bedroom with bunk beds - great for kids, but could also be suitable for adults as the bunks are full-size beds. The bathroom, which sits between the two bedrooms, is designed with clean, white tile and modern brass fixtures. This charming cottage is in the middle of the action, yet with an abundance of privacy!

Beautiful Up North Property

The communication with the property management was great. They regularly check in before and during your stay. They even confirm when the house is ready for check in This was the cleanest VRBO I have stayed in. It was absolutely spotless. Nice full kitchen, sizable bedrooms, and two wonderful bathrooms. I loved the bunk bed setup with the TV in the room for the kids The backyard is great. A nice bonfire pit and Cornhole. Plenty of room for kids to run around and play. Not far from a walking and bike path that will take you right into town. We will definitely come back!

Great house, close to Lake Michigan

The house was great! We are a family of 7, and the house was absolutely perfect. Could have easily had room for a few more people. The yard was an absolute dream for the kids to play in and was absolutely a respite. We had a fire every night and most mornings! The bikes were enjoyed by all! And we really appreciated the local jams upon arrival.

We had an easy ride to Petoskey and walk to the lakefront. We drove to Harbor Springs for a morning trip one day, and Mackinac Island for a day trip, and the location was perfect for reaching both of these destinations comfortably! We already want to go back.

Cedar House

The house always looks nice and is very clean. The yard is so fun for the kids and we enjoyed the fire pit. It’s close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. We have been there two years in a row and would definitely go back.

Absolutely Perfect!

Everything about this stay was great. I’ve never taken the time to leave a review, but this place definitely deserves one. The property management couldn’t have been better! They were so courteous and checked in prior to our stay- they even sent a link to the weather forecast for our upcoming trip! We only encountered one very minimal issue with the keypad upon entry, and they showed up immediately to help. Unbeknownst to me, my brother in law reached out as he thought the batteries to a tv remote were low, they showed up on a weekend with new batteries! They truly went above and beyond. The property itself was adorable, decorated perfectly, and truly felt like home. We can’t wait to visit again! As a family who used to have a vacation home in Harbor Springs, we were very particular about our rental. We are very grateful for a wonderful stay, thank you!

It was the perfect place to crash for the evening after a long days on the hills, enjoy some great food and play some games. The hot water was wonderful and endless, towels were thick and absorbent, traditional and cup coffee makers were provided, basic seasonings and coffee filters as well, and the beds and bedrooms were all wonderfully comfortable. If this owner has the chance to include a ladle and a larger soup-style pot those would be our only tiny recommendations.

Plenty of room

We had a very nice stay at the property. It’s located a short drive from downtown and 15 minute drive from two nice ski resorts. It’s close to a grocery store, which is an added bonus when you’re feeding 5 teenagers. Enough bed/bedrooms for our entire party to sleep comfortably. Kitchen is equipped with essentials and suitable for making meals.

Just Right for Ladies Getaway

It was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room with its 4 bedrooms. We enjoyed lounging in the living room. Everything we needed was right where we expected it. The property is a couple miles outside of downtown and close proximity to the bay (we thought it would have a direct view of the lake and be closer into town, but that’s probably our fault for not reading carefully). Also I’m sure that’s why the house felt so reasonably priced. Although the house is directly adjacent to a bar, we felt safe. The bike supply is AWESOME. The bikes seem brand new and there are plenty of them in a variety of sizes. Vacation Properties of Northern Michigan was proactive and responsive in their communication. They helped us get the battery changed in the door lock very quickly when it died and let us know when the property was ready early on the day of our arrival. Very professional and kind.Northern Michigan is a delight - we are all from other parts of the country so we loved the fall colors, countryside and coastline. An easy, beautiful drive got us to Mackinaw City where we were able to take the ferry to Mackinac Isla nd for a day trip. We returned along the Tunnel of Trees. We also explored downtown Petoskey - our favorite shop we the American Spoon, and it was fun to see the Kilwins factory store. In Charlevoix we saw the mushroom houses designed by Earl Young. Our group’s favorite outing was the Lavender Hill Farm. The staff are so knowledgeable, the property was gorgeous even off season and the products were lovely.

Cleanest I have ever been to!

The property was so well designed and had everything we needed and more! We couldn't be happier. The beds were so very comfortable and the location was great for us biking around. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

Cedar House

The Cedar House was well maintained and very cozy. It has a great backyard for outdoor games and includes a grill and fire pit. It was walking distance to the lake where you can find Petoskey stones and other fun rocks. The location is close to restaurants and the Petoskey downtown shopping area . We would definitely come back again!
