Poolside Double Queen Room (main level)

Summary:
This room is a part of the Sunset Motel located directly across from Lake Pepin in Lake City, MN. The hotel consists of traditional single and double motel rooms, a 3 bedroom house, and 2-3 bedroom condo units. All of the units have shared access to our heated in-ground pool. All rooms have recently been equipped with electronic locks for a seamless check-in process. We are centrally located near some of the area's best attractions including public beach access, top restaurants, golf courses, and marinas.

Guest Access:
Access to all guest rooms is provided by electronic smart locks. A welcome email will be sent out the evening before your arrival date.

The room was just a very basic hotel room. It was clean. Poolside as described is very misleading, as it's not visible in front of the room. You have to look across the parking lot to the side. Pool is small & was surprisingly busy. There's also a very limited lake view. Overall it was a decent place to stay. Beds were comfortable. The tiny AC unit was really working to keep up, but did the job. The bathroom is very small. There are not enough plug-ins in the room if multiple people are getting ready. It was very basic for the price, but worked for sleeping.

Such a cute motel! Appeared to be recently remodeled and has a fabulous retro vibe. We loved the proximity to downtown Lake City and local establishments including the cutest and delicious little diner Heidi’s Hug a Mug cafe. Further, we had a fabulous lake view we could enjoy on the patio in our colorful Adirondack chairs. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room clean. Our host was incredibly responsive as well. When we expressed a need for additional towels, they were promptly delivered to our room. Would definitely stay here again!

Cute place, great pool and location!!

We are ere very impressed by the cleanliness and convenience of Sunset Motel! Very cute, quaint place with a nice pool. We boated down to Lake City so we had no car and limited luggage/supplies but everything we needed was in the room….hair dryer, lots of towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner. There were even floaters at the pool for use. Would definitely stay again.

What a cute place and wonderful host. The room was clean and bright; we had a perfect view of the lake to watch the sunset; and the host came to our rescue when one of our bike tires went flat. They were a real pleasure to chat with.
