About this property

Luxury cabin with private outdoor hot tub and access to resort pool

Experience the serene woodland scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains at this three-bedroom Pigeon Forge cabin with a private hot tub, a beautiful wrap-around deck, a loft game room with pool, ping pong, air hockey and foosball tables, and community access to a seasonal swimming pool.

Tucked away among the treetops and within earshot of the trickling water in Big Bridge Branch, this private home is an elegant take on the classic log cabin. You'll be within short driving distance to Pigeon Forge, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, and central Gatlinburg.

With two-story ceilings, gorgeous wood and stone work, and furnishings that reflect the great outdoors, the living space is open, inviting, and tailor-made for relaxing. Take a seat on the leather sofa to catch up with your loved ones, scroll through the cable channels on the flatscreen TV, and light the seasonal floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace (October 1 to April 1) to enhance the cozy mountain atmosphere. Downstairs you can relax while watching your favorite sports or Nextflix movie on the 110" HD TV.

Begin each morning on a high note by preparing breakfast in the full kitchen, where you'll find stainless steel appliances, natural wood cabinetry, and a large window to let in the breeze. Flip french toast and pancakes on the stovetop, sit down at the kitchen table, and stack the plates in the dishwasher for easy, hassle-free cleanup.

Bring your coffee outside to the wrap-around deck, where you can read the morning paper in a rocking chair, cuddle up with your kids on the porch swing, or watch for deer passing through your neck of the woods. Come lunchtime, there's even a charcoal grill for afternoon barbecues in the shade.

Pull your bathing suits and towels from the private washer/dryer, and beat the summer heat by going swimming in the seasonal community pool (which is open between May 1st and October 1st). Back at the house, you can take a soothing soak in the private hot tub, or head upstairs to the loft for an evening of tournaments at the pool table, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and the arcade game.

With three King bedrooms each with en-suite full bath, two single rollaways and two pull out couches, Big Bear Retreat will accommodate twelver guests. The first master suite is located on the main floor, offering a king-size bed made from natural logs, a flatscreen TV, and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combination. There is a half-bath on the main floor as well. Head upstairs to discover a second master suite, which features a king-size bed, a flatscreen TV, and a bathroom with a stall shower and jacuzzi tub. Downstairs is the finest Master suite with a King Bed, stacked stone fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the full en-wuite bath. You'll also have two sleeper sofas and two single rollaways for additional sleeping space.

Known and beloved throughout the United States as the hometown of Dolly Parton, Sevierville is a wonderful blend of Tennessee charm and natural beauty. Spend a day (or two) in the majestic expanse of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you can observe wildlife in the open meadows of Cades Cove or take in panoramic views from the top of Clingmans Dome.

Everything was excellent at the cabin. Unfortunately the community pool closed the day after we got there. It was one of the reasons we picked that property as our son was looking forward to swimming.

Beautiful and spacious cabin

This cabin was perfect for our group of 7. 3 bedrooms with their own bathrooms was great. The game room was a huge hit with my kids and the location was perfect! My kids are already asking when we can go back.

Family Retreat

The property manager was very responsive, and made the reservation and check-in process very easy. The cabin was lovely. We especially appreciated the Christmas decorations, including tree. The cabin was perfect for our family with private bathrooms in every bedroom and 2 extra 1/2 baths on the main floor and lower level family/movie room. The 2 kids/cousins made beds on the futon and roll away in the large family/movie room so they could “camp” together. We all enjoyed the game room with billiards, table tennis, air hockey & foosball. The kitchen was also well appointed for making meals at the cabin. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to others.

1) There were spider webs all around the property . 2) No soaps or shampoo's provided. 3) The Internet/cable box was left out in open and there was a high chance of accident when raining with rain water falling on the open cables. 4)When checked on 'Message the owner' option, Vrbo didn't load the page, so there was no communication with the owner.

Needs upkeep

The cabin is nice but is in need of upkeep and cleaning. The games were a let down, the air hockey table had pucks that didn’t fit well, the pool table was leveled with cardboard pieces, the video game required coins to play but we couldn’t get it to work. There were many light bulbs out including outside so it was dark around the door at night, thick dust on door frames, crumbs on the tables. Needs some basic upkeep and a deep clean. It did not deter us from enjoying our time but definitely needs some TLC.

Nice stay with family

We had a great time visiting with our children and grandchild New Years weekend. I did have to reach out to property manager about water running in sink. The jet tub upstairs does not work. The light above that tub does not work. The lights above a sink in upstairs bathroom do not work. I told him about these issues also. They did not effect our overall stay but thought manager should know for future visitors.

Very responsive and accommodating

The cabin was easy to access and very comfortable. We were in the area for a busy weekend schedule, but we all wished we had more time to just hangout at the cabin. We had all adults and it was nice that every room has its own private bathroom plus two additional half baths so we ran into no issues when all trying to get ready simultaneously. We also never ran out of hot water! The fireplaces were beautiful and easy to use with the timers. And everyone enjoyed the games on the 3rd floor. We didn’t cook during our stay but the kitchen was well stocked (except bring your own coffee, creamer, sugar). There was a traditional coffee maker and Keirig. It was just a few minutes drive to a market so pretty easy to solve our “coffee crisis.” The owner was very easy to work with before our stay and provided very clear instructions for check-in/out. We had no need for communication once we arrived. Beautiful and convenient location for the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area. I would definitely recommend it.

Great Location for a Family Stay

We just returned from the most perfect week at Big Bear Retreat. The property is beautiful, the bedrooms are conveniently located on three different levels, giving each family group a little privacy when needed. We enjoyed a couple of family movies in the theater room and the onsite hot tub; the neighborhood pool was a short drive down the hill. The highlight of the stay was the black bear that walked down the street a couple of times, but not to worry, we just kept our distance and he wasn't the least bit interested in us. Something that might save you a last-minute trip to the store - the host provided starter amounts of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry and dish detergent, but bring your bath soap and shampoo, any spices you need for cooking, plastic storage containers and foil or plastic wrap; the kitchen was very well equipped with dishes, utensils and pans. There are an overwhelming number of options for entertainment and food choices in the nearby towns, we particularly enjoyed Mama's Farmhouse (tried it for lunch and breakfast), the Old Mill (lunch), the brewery in Paula Dean's Lumberjack Plaza had an amazing burger and Ole Smoky Mountain Moonshine tasting was a hit. The Redneck Comedy Bus Tour was fun for the seniors in the group and included a nice relaxing scenic drive to Gatlinburg. Don't miss a stop at the Whaley Grocery Store just down the road on your way to PF, it was an experience in itself!

Quiet, spacious, fit our group well

Communication with property owner was excellent. We had a slight problem with the HVAC upon arrival and John was easy to get in touch with, came over quickly to help and got it working and still sent an expert over the next morning. We were very comfortable and John is very pleasant. The bedrooms and bathrooms nice. We had less than 10 people and everyone had a comfortable spot to sleep and the 3 floors allowed great space for is. The game room loft was nice and used throughout the weekend. If anything negative could be said, it would be extra cleaning needed, door frames, behind end tables, corners for any cobwebs that can show up in a cabin. Other than that, the place was clean and tidy, well decorated. The kitchen was stocked with things we needed and everything was easy to find. The refrigerator was perfect, esp the drink access door. The porch swings were nice for a cup of coffee in the morning and the jacuzzi was fabulous for relaxing late night conversations. Smokey cove has new construction but it was quiet all weekend, no noise issues. We would stay again.

One of the nicest cabins in the area

Cleanliness was top notch, not one bug was seen and the owner has put a lot of thought into the cabin. Christmas tree, two different kinds of coffee makers, hot tub, pool table, ping pong table overlay, foosball and a video game that unfortunately the screen turned off frequently in the end of our stay. The only negative was the fumes of the ventless fireplace, we used it occasionally.

Great Christmas Getaway

Our extended family wanted to have a short getaway to celebrate Christmas together. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us to sleep and visit with each other for the long weekend. The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday. We enjoyed using the hot tub, playing air hockey, and watching Christmas movies together. There was an issue with the refrigerator not cooling properly while we were there, but the owner was easy to get in touch with right away and had a technician there to address the issue within a couple of hours. I would highly recommend staying here!

Weekend Friend Gathering

The area was very quiet and the neighborhood was great (a few potholes in the road but not too bad). The cabin was nice and was decorated for Christmas. There were 8 of us staying here but we had plenty of room. We enjoyed the game room (plenty of options for games). Couldn't watch football on the big screen in the movie room (needed to enter your password for your personal tv provider) but we were able to watch in the living room with a fire going (gas logs). The only thing that we missed out on was the jacuzzi (it may have been winterized already because the jets and heater weren't cutting on). Otherwise the weekend stay was great!

Excellent Cabin Setup

The cabin was lovely with a warm cabin vibe and fun Christmas decor throughout! The place was spacious full of entertainment for my young kids. Unfortunately the hot tub wouldn’t heat up which was a bummer, but otherwise we had a blast! We even saw three bear cubs outside our window just minutes after we unloaded our bags into the cabin.

Perfect get away

Loved how spacious and comfortable the cabin was. We had three families stay together and had plenty of room to spread out and also when we came together. Loved the theater room and game room. Hope to stay here again next November! Plenty of dishes, towels, cookware. We stayed 4 nights and hated to leave.
