Cute cabin in the woods. Our doggy loved the yard! Lots of spider webs, but had seen that on previous reviews. Would definitely stay there again!

Heavenly!!
Everything was just beautiful about this house. There was so much space for 5 adults to relax for 5 days. Fireplace in yard was a cherry on top. Would like to come back every year!!!
Absolutely beautiful stay and the beds are super comfy!
Great place to have a nice slow day of doing crooswords and drinking coffee in the morning, then coming back after a day of kayaking to relax in the beauty of nature.

Private, secluded cabin in the woods
Very fun place to stay to get away from it all and relax. Comfortable, cozy cabin with a lot of charm. Easy drive to Olympic National Park.
The good: The sheets and bedding were clean and comfy, the shower was nice and warm, and the WiFi worked well. The disappointing: The place had tons of cobwebs, was pretty grimy, and super dark inside. It lacked basic kitchen items such as a coffee maker, tv doesn’t work. The sheets and bedding were clean and the shower was warm, so we were grateful for that. And the WiFi worked. Much too rustic and dirty for the high price tag, including an extra 700 damage waiver (there wasn’t even anything to damage in the house!). I’m disappointed that we paid 2500 for 7 nights. So not worth it.

Bats in the belfry
This house has an idyllic off grid location however, we simply experienced too much nature inside the house to feel safe. There was a snake inside the entry door, mouse poop in the carpet area by the couch and bats flying around in the sleeping loft where my son was sleeping. I called customer service who said they would pass the issues on to the home owner but have heard nothing from them and have not received a refund.

great structure, needs exterminator
As the pictures show, Gummy Bear is a whimsical and unique structure. The property is beautiful with grounds to roam and a fire pit. The location was a great go-between for adventures to Lake Crescent and Port Townsend.
The home needs an exterminator and better barriers to keep critters out. My husband kept finding droppings and suspected mice or rats. We had a sealed loaf of garlic bread on the kitchen counter, and woke the next

An Adventure for sure (a bit more than we planned for)
A unique and incredibly built cabin, really neat workmanship at every turn. The yard area was beautiful and spacious. A really neat place for the kids. Plenty of sleeping space.
The road in is very narrow and windy, difficult in the dark with a big pickup truck. We usually pull a horse trailer and would have gotten into a jam for sure because we weren’t expecting such a primitive off-road drive in.
We were a little thrown off with the fact that the electricity is limited, hot water limited, amenities limited… it would have been nice if the write up on the description of the house had been a little clearer on that so we were better prepared of what we were walking into. Not a deal breaker for us, but I think a lot of people would have been pretty put off.
We would definitely come back but more with a “camp out” mentality and pack more/differently to make our stay more comfortable. Some basics were missing like coffee, ziploc bags, aluminum foil, etc.

Thank you for your review, Shannon, we are glad you enjoyed your visit. We make every effort to present clear, accurate descriptions of our homes in order for guests to make informed decisions on their rental choices. This is a solar-powered cabin. We encourage guests to reach out with any questions or concerns prior to booking, as we are happy to help. Pantry items like coffee and tea are not typically stocked in the home. We hope we can host you again.
The house is very interesting, however, you have to consider that it is quite old and in the middle of the forest so it’s not super clean. Overall nice stay as the house has perfect location and is super unique.
