We really enjoyed our stay. The property is very clean and has really nice outdoor space. The location was perfect for us and we were able to easily access the activities we wanted to do. We would definitely return in the future!
We rented this cute house because it was close to family and Vergas MN. We attended the Looney Days celebration in Vergas, spent time with family, and this place made for a quiet retreat every evening. The home is super charming, comfortable, very clean and Tracy the host was helpful in all our needs. She responded immediately when we had an issue with the keypad entry and resolved the issue just as quickly. We would stay here again anytime!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay with our small pups. The home was well taken care of and furnished with everything we needed for the long weekend. Very close to Vergas, Frazee and Detroit Lakes. Would 100% recommend to family and friends and would stay again.
We enjoyed a family reunion at this lovely lake cabin. It really felt like a home. Close enough to towns for anything. The host was incredibly kind. BEAUTIFUL PEACEFUL QUIET
Very clean and comfortable place. We enjoyed it alot. Everything you would want for a getaway on a lake. Views of the lake plenty of outside seating. Beds were very comfortable. Communication was great, responded quickly. We hope to be returning again next year.
We loved our stay! The cabin has absolutely everything you need and the outdoor spaces are amazing. The view is great. Close to many cute towns. We also drove to Maplewood State Park which is only 30 minutes away. The fall colors were beautiful. Tracy was a great host! Excited to visit again in the future!
This was a great property, just as described. Very comfortable, beautiful views from every window, and a lovely lake with eagles flying and fishing. Communication was exceptional.
Had an awesome time at the lake! The cabin was
just exactly as we had hoped. It was on the lake,
stocked well, plenty of areas to move around and sit and relax. Charming! Beds very comfy!
Loons at night and beautiful sunrises in the morning! Close to town, but far enough away for total peace and quiet. We will be back!!!!!
A great cabin on the lake; a really nice spot for many things - fishing, bird watching, leaf peeping. It is a bit of a steep walk down to the lake with steps, but worth it. Tons of great things to do in the area - state parks, shopping, restaurants, access to many lakes in the area etc...
The cabin is set up very nicely with everything you would expect for cooking (except no grill), hanging out, and sleeping. It is very cute and comfortable. They are pet-friendly, which is nice to find, but it is not fenced. There are neighbors nearby on both sides and a small dock & deck on the lake. The deck at the cabin itself is a great spot.
The owner is not in the area, but did stay in close contact with me by text, and quickly responded to questions/ concerns. We did have an issue upon check-in, but the owner resolved it quickly for us.
Highly recommend for a family or small group. There are two bedrooms and some extra sleeping options.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. Plenty of open socializing space indoors and outdoors. Plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans as well as dinner ware. Beds were comfortable; the pullout bed in the couch was not usable, thin mattress that sloped downwards and no bedding for it but we did use it to sleep on as just a couch. The view of the lake is beautiful anytime of day. There are a hefty amount of stairs to get down to the lake, not everyone in our group could handle. There was a lot of algae in the lake, could not see the sand through/under it but we were able to get in our tubes and kayaks off the dock. Wouldn’t be ideal swimming area. Tracy was great, responsive and easy to book with.
This rental was clean, quiet, and suitable for our family including three boys ages 3-11. The amenities were well described in the listing and Tracy was very easy to communicate with. There is no boat launch, or easy way to get a boat in the water at the property but we managed to slide our plastic canoe along the stairs to the water. A heavier canoe would probably have been more challenging to get back out of the water. By the time we rented the cabin (mid-October) no one was out on the lake with their boats, making canoeing that much more enjoyable. The fishing was good across the lake near the wild rice, along the drop offs. We caught keeper sized black crappies and blue gills. At the dock the fishing conditions weren’t ideal for us, but being able to watch swans and loons swim by was something special on it’s own. Lots of other great fishing lakes and day trips to state parks and small towns within reasonable travel time.
Our family of five and a small dog stayed for an entire week in late July and I can assure you the property matches the listing.
We were very comfortable in the 2 bedrooms. We did not try the sofa bed as it wasn’t needed. Air conditioning works great and cooled the entire house.
All kitchenware was provided but we did bring a small portable grill as there isn’t one.
The lake is down a pretty steep hillside (there are steps) and we were able to carry our kayaks down to the lake without too much trouble. If your intention is to have a nice sandy swimming beach, this is not the lake for you. There are a lot of weeds and a rocky shoreline. We mainly used our kayaks and paddle boards so the weeds were not an issue for us. Bring water shoes. It was a little tough getting in and out of the water from the dock, I suggested adding a dock ladder which would be a really nice addition for those of us with short legs.
Bugs were not bad at all, no mosquito or tick bites, however we didn’t spend too much time outdoors at night. There is not a fire pit.
Tracy was very nice to work with and booking, checking in/out was seamless and easy.
Neighbors were friendly too.
The property was amazing. Very clean and inviting. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The one thing I would change/add would be a firepit or a tabletop fire option. Also, don't try to go down to the water without accurate lighting. The way to the dock is dangerous...bad railing and steps were precarious as it is steep to the water.
This is a great place to stay, it's clean, comfortable and well kept. The lake is beautiful. We stayed in October which was great. Frazee had a Halloween haunted forest going on which the granddaughter loved and so did the grownups! Had to go through twice. We went hiking in Maplewood State and the fall colors were unbelievable. Sent pictures to friends and relatives and many want to rent it. Would absolutely rent it again.
View from deck is awesome, very retro 70’s which is cute. Area so quite so peaceful

I grew up in Frazee and even after living all over the country for the last 21 years, I still call Frazee home. We are an active duty Army family with 22 years of service. My family and I come back to the area every summer to visit family and friends. It means the world to us.
We wish we were able to live in Minnesota full time or at least spend the entire summer at the lake, but life has sent us in a different direction for now. We are very honored that we have the opportunity to share our place with you. We love giving people the chance to enjoy the lake life without the hassle of owning a property.
We are truly a vacation rental by owner with family keeping the cabin ready for guests. So, please be patient with any issues and contact me if you need anything.
We hope you fall in love with out little place as much as we have. Here's to making memories at the lake.
Why they chose this property
Quiet dirt road. Beautiful farm scene on one side of the cabin with a stunning lake view on the other. One neighbor is a permanent resident with the other being there only on the weekends. Great neighbors. Great location.
