About the host
Hosted by Patricia Yargus

My husband I live in this neighborhood. As a veteran family we lived in many parts of the country and the world, and initially thought Annapolis was a nice temporary home. As we raised 4 children here we found it to be a pleasant place to stay. Ken and I have become a thread in the tapestry of the community. We hope that by bringing this unique home to the public, we will prevent it from being torn down and replaced by a large modern house that would not reflect the area's past. We hope to be successful in this goal, and to help our guests to enjoy the house and area as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
This is our first vacation rental. We loved it because of this amount of light it has. Numerous southern-facing windows allow the house to be cheerful, inviting and warm. The house itself is petit mais puissant, small but mighty. The living room, kitchen bedroom and bath are all a nice size. Each is wrapped in warm light and comfort. The community is quiet, safe and welcoming. We loved the yard and the fact that it sits alone on a 1/4 acre of land. It is quick 8-minute walk to the beach. There is also history and great food nearby. All of these characteristics makes Firefly Cottage the ideal place to enjoy a leisurely holiday.
What makes this property unique
Beach within 0.4 miles, 8 minute walk. Lots of parking. Exclusive use of a small house on a large lot, in a quiet safe neighborhood.
