Bay Front House - Great Fishing

Our beautiful bayfront home is located in the Isla Del Sol subdivision and overlooks Galveston's West Bay, with fast and easy access to the beach - 1 mile. We have fabulous fishing right off our dock while only 15 driving minutes away from Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens and all Galveston Island fun.

Bring your wine and enjoy our beautiful sunsets with bay view. We have the best fishing off our dock with our overhead spotlight.

Guests must be at least 25 years old to rent home and adult guests may not rent on behalf of underage guests.

Note: higher rates may be quoted for weeks within holidays.

Note: sleeps 8 comfortable, but could maybe fit 10.

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Turn off fishing light
Lower storm blinds.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Possible Rate increase for holidays. We do not charge cancellation fee, although VRBO does not have an option to click that in their portal.
Please turn off fishing light upon checkout. Wash and put away all kitchen items used. Take food items you brought home (fridge/freezer items too).
Please take out trash to end of driveway. Turn Thermostat to 80 in summer and 34 in winter.

Great house!

House on the bay. It was clean and had everything we needed. Boys could catch some fish right there on the property. Beautiful view of sunsets! It was very far on the west end, so took forever to get to town.

Beautiful view!

This location was perfect and the sunset’s are to die for. They had almost everything you can think of. Master bath was absolutely amazing. I spent most of my week on the porch watching the sunset and enjoying the breeze. Fishing is usually fantastic in this area but this time we weren’t catching much but still had a blast fishing. The kids loved the kayaks. The only con we had was the grill was a small charcoal grill and couldn’t accommodate our large family and the fridge took a really long time to cool our drinks down.

Spectacular Bay View

Great location, unbelievable view. Owner is great to work with and very responsive. Highly recommend this house, especially if you love the bay more than the beach. The beach is a very short distance away if you want to go there, but nothing beats sitting on your own dock and fishing at night.

Excellent views and floor plan

Loved the location and views of this home. Hosts also offered us early check in and late check out because house wasn’t booked on either end of our trip. That was very kind. Washing machine wasn’t working which was only real disappointment because we planned to use.

Wonderful! Perfect locoation.

We've vaca'd in this property many times for a few decades both with friends and family. The location is wonderful for fishing, beaching, and sunsets. The house is well stocked, the neighborhood is quiet, and lots of fish can usually be caught at night under the fishing lights. My family loves both the house and the location. One catch - boat slip not available to use but no problem docking at the neighborhood launch site at night.

Perfect House, Perfect Location, Perfect Weekend!

This house is in such an awesome location! Beautiful view of the bay! Great fishing and wonderful weather! We were able to hang out under the house and on the dock all weekend. I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. We had 6 adults and 2 babies and we all slept very comfortably and could have easily had a few more people. The pictures do not do this house justice! The kitchen is stunning and perfect for enjoying meals, and the master bathroom is gorgeous! No complaints here, we will definitely be back...over and over again!

Our Favorite Place!

We’ve vacationed numerous times over the years at the Nelson’s Bay House in Galveston, TX. We’ve stayed at many other bay houses and beach houses in the area, but this one beats them all! The house is very spacious and accommodating with a fantastically designed large kitchen. The sun deck is extended all the way out to and over the boat slip and pier and it is ever so nice to be at there in the late evening, sipping on a cool drink, watching the sunset as Flamingos and the gigantic white Pelicans come flying overhead and into the bay out front. As for the fishing, it’s excellent as the property is extended farther out into Galveston Bay than most nearby properties. You can catch as many fish from the pier without ever launching a boat. My family (sister, daughters, nieces, spouses, etc.) also love the Nelson Bay House. Once you stay here, you don’t want to rent any other house! Bill & Josie Shaffer Tomball, TX
