Bay View & Canal Home in Sea Isle,sleeps 11, 1/2 mile to beach/restaurant/marina
Beautifully decorated canal family beach house that sleeps 11 with high end finishes and art collection. This is a canal front home great for multiple families to rent, relax, visit the beach or fish all day long from the property. The bay is 2 lots away(50 feet) and can be reached via your personal boat or swimming on floats in canal. To visit the beach it is a short 2 minute drive or 1/2 mile walk. Sea Isle neighborhood has 4 beach access points available to neighborhood for car parking.
The beach house has 4 upstairs bedrooms (with a possible 5th downstairs-queen bedroom, sink, and toilet that can be rented additionally by contact with the host). The upstairs bedrooms include: 1 Master with King bed and private bath and private patio with sunset view over water, 1 Guest Master with King bed and private bath, 1 Bunk Room with 2 sets of bunk beds of twin over fulls (6 children fit) with private bath, and 1 study turned bedroom with a twin bed(great for teenager or a single grandparent). There is a 1/2 bath off the Great Room. Each room is appointed with luxurious bedding and art work collected over the past 35 years on Galveston Island in Art Galleries or Antique shops. This is not a bare minimum rental, but a fully functional full-time home that is rented out when owners are out of town.
The Great Room has a round dining table that fits 8, kitchen island seating for 3, and the wine room(kids table) seating for 7. Chef's kitchen with a 6 burner stove and oven, and a deep old fashioned porcelain sink with drying racks, Brand new Big Chill Retro Fridge and retro dishwasher. Tons of counter and cabinet space with use of owner's plates/serving dishes/pots/pans(fully stocked with any regular kitchen item, not a bare minimum renter's kitchen). Available to use waffle maker, food processor, toaster, microwave, air fryer, drip coffee maker for large crowds, and Keurig coffee maker for single cups. There is a bar off of the Great Room that keeps parents happy with a wine fridge and ice maker (best thin ice ever!). There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer available. For clear nights there is a telescope available in guest closet.
The top deck of the home is where you will want to spend your time with the breath-taking Bay View. You also have a canal view and can see the marsh that is one block over and the fishing pier. The view goes for miles. There is also a bistro table with 4 chairs, an outdoor couch, and adirondack chairs sunsets off the back balcony. Sunny from sunrise until 1pm then shady the rest of the day.
The downstairs of the home is where you can take a break from the beach in the shade and enjoy the canal water view. Tons of room for children to run around and play or for adults to relax and fish. The downstairs includes a TV, outdoor sofa, two wooden bench swings for 3 people each, adirondack chair, and hammock. There is also a Bait sink to clean any fish you catch. Renters have access to a storage room with many items to use such as: charcoal grill, Blackstone propane flat top grill(provide your own propane available at Marina Bait store for purchase), outdoor heater, Beer Fridge/freezer, 4 camping chairs, 3 lounging chairs, ladder toss game, corn hole game, fishing poles and nets, outdoor umbrella with cement stand, and a outdoor boiler for crawfish or seafood boil. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off sand after a long day at the beach.
Additional Amenities in Sea Isle Neighborhood- with key fob access(provided by host to guests) there is also a neighborhood pool with tennis court and fishing pier. The neighborhood pool does require an amenities pass purchase through neighborhood and sign in with house address. The fishing pier is also the best point in neighborhood for family photos at Sunset(many Christmas Card snapshots captured here). The neighborhood also includes a children's park 1/2 mile away called Milton Pines Park and Pavilion with 5 swings, teeter totter, play structure, monkey bars, volleyball net and basketball court. The park is attached to a full-time Fire Station that has BBQ, chili cook offs and shrimp plate fundraisers yearly. The neighborhood also includes a Bait Shop, small food/drink store at Bait Camp, additional gas Station with store called Sea Isle Supermarket, restaurant and bar called The West End Marina with live music on Friday and Saturdays during summer. Also a food truck park with changing trucks and The Wet Whistle Bar at front of neighborhood on San Jacinto Dr. This neighborhood is a golf cart cruising dream, so bring your trailer if you have one or rent one through K6 island sports, Galveston Golf Cart rentals, Rick's Beach rentals or many more. They drop off and pick up your rental.
