Great place to stay!

We had a large group and had plenty of room for everyone, house is great and close to all of the activities. Communicated with property owner several times on minor issues and she responded quickly and resolved the issues. Overall was a great experience!!!

Cousin Reunion

We had a great time! The river was too dry to float but, we didn’t worry since we had a nice pool.

Sweet Stay

This property had it all! The home was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. Our family especially loved the pool and the proximity to the golf course. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway with family or friends! --- Personalizing the compliment with details about what you loved will make it more genuine and helpful for future guests.

Home away from home!

We had a great time staying at Ace of Spades! Laurie was so helpful before and during our stay! The house had everything we needed for a home away from home, nothing could have made it more comfortable. We had a large family staying and there was plenty of room for everyone it was very spacious. The house is also kid/baby friendly. While playing golf we were able to stop and fill up on drinks and snacks while on the 9th hole. We plan on booking another trip here hopefully soon!

Great visit in Concan for the solar eclipse

Our group (11 adults and 2 children) had a great stay at the Ace of Spades house, and we greatly enjoyed the total solar eclipse on April 8, tubing the Frio River in the Garner State Park, and just hanging out by the pool/spa at the house. The Ace of Spades house is very spacious, clean, and the kitchen is well supplied. The host Laurie Taska was super helpful and quickly responded to our questions about the house. We highly recommend it for a vacation place near Concan, Texas.

Just book it, u won't regret it.Perfect place for large families. We had 11 of us aged 3m to 52yr. All week, we were never running over each other & each family had their own bedroom/place to chill. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub daily. We loved loved loved all the ledges in the pool. Grandkids could play on or jump in from them. With 2 toddlers, the gated pool area & gate between parking & back porch area came in handy for our peace of mind. The bar area with 2nd fridge was extra handy for drinks. We used their backyard grill, corn hole games, picnic tables, and giant Connect 4. Massive kitchen area with a dream island & everything we needed, we cooked at least 2 meals a day. We played games at the poker table. And everyone had a TV so we didn't have to watch cartoons all day. The 4 grown men played the golf arcade game I think more than they were in the pool !!Comfy beds, cold air, and even throw blankets in the living room. Heck they even provided koozies.Where you turn off the road is a venue & beer barn. Grown ups got to see Roger Crager live. We sat in the river a little but Garner State Park ended up being the best place to cool off in the water. Make sure & get a day pass early cuz they sell out quick. We were able to get in at 7pm when the park has dances. We still had plenty of time to enjoy the water. We ate at Neal's & Hippie Chicks, got yummy treats at The Frio Float & Concan Pies! Bought shirts, hats & such at several of the shops. Plenty to choose from.
