The cottage was bigger than I expected from the photos but just as beautiful. Having two full bathrooms was great. The kitchen is large and updated, and the beds were all comfortable. The cottage is quiet and peaceful, and the hot tub with outdoor lights is a great place to relax.

This is our second time staying here and I was so happy we returned! Can’t get enough of the quiet, and coziness of this home. Communication is always easy with the owner, the sweet dog Chase is always a plus to run into, and everything is very clean and easy to use. This has become my favorite place to watch the sunset. If the sky is clear the stars are incredible to watch as well in the dark. Can’t recommend it enough!

Family Vacation on the Lake

Wonderful home within close distance to Sullivan marina. Great setup for a family vacation. Plenty of parking for our cars and boat trailer. We enjoyed our time together. My kid’s loved the hot tub and daily visits from the puppy. We will definitely book again next year!

We love country living! We have lived on this property for over 25 years. We raised our 3 kids here and have raised various animals here as well including beef calves and puppies. Now that our kids are grown, we are excited about being able to share our property with guests so that they too can experience the peace and tranquility that is found in the quiet country living. We hope you will come stay with us.

Why they chose this property

We are located in the quiet countryside away from the hustle and bustle of city life where you can retreat to rest, relax and be refreshed. We are conveniently located about 10 miles from Lake Shelbyville which offers boating, fishing and hiking trails and about 10 miles from Arthur which has many Amish tourist shops and restaurants. So if you want to get out you can. We also have an outdoor area with a firepit, a patio area for eating outdoors and a hot tub to enjoy the night sky or the sunsets. We frequently see deer grazing in the fields in front and beside the property.

What makes this property unique

There is plenty of space for parking multiple vehicles, as well as boats and trailers. The cottage is large enough to host an event of 20 - 30 people, although there are only sleeping accommodations for 8.
