Welcome to Mermaid 🧜‍♀️ House, where rustic beach charm meets laid-back mermaid magic. located just 5 blocks from amazing Butler Beach and 5 blocks to the inter-coastal. While Mermaid House is just 15 mins from downtown Historic St Augustine you may never want to leave. Cook in the gourmet chefs kitchen or the outdoor kitchen, and then enjoy a nice soak in the hot tub or float in the saltwater pool. There is an outdoor living area, loungers by the pool and a fire pit, or just putt putt (literally)

Pool Fountains and heat are automated. They come on at a certain time and go off at a certain time. Hot tub comes on after 7pm nightly. Outdoor fireplace is operational October- Jan

**Please know that we welcome your dogs on a case by case basis. Vet records and flea and tick treatment required. 2 only please and 60 pounds and under for each dog. There is a pet fee of 150.00 for one dog and 250.00 total for two dogs. Garage is not for use for vehicles unless agreed upon. Occupancy & Guest Identity

Loved the resort feel!

Our host was very responsive and pleasant to interact with. The house was a perfect size for 4 of us and we loved the amenities; the kitchen was well appointed, too. It was as advertised - we really felt like we were on vacation at a mini resort! The location was great - very walkable to the beach, a short drive to downtown and other shopping, and an easy drive to other areas like Palm Coast. We'd definitely consider renting this home again. Our pup was also very happy there!

Amazing house!

Our family stayed here for a week in mid April and practically lived out in the backyard!! Didn’t use the living room once! We grilled, swam, played put put, darts and always had a fire going. It was absolutely amazing. C was VERY responsive with any questions I had about the property. We visit St. Augustine every 2-3 years and will definitely be staying here again!

From the moment we opened the door it was paradise! Just the overall feel of the home was serene. Pool and hot tub were amazing. Minutes to the beach. I could go into town with other tourist and then return back to peace and tranquility! Quiet, spacious, everything we needed was there! The home was very clean and enjoyable! The hosts were amazing! Great location, quiet neighborhood

Very convenient location if you are planning on visiting the beach and all the great tourist locations. Also, lots of good food options are close by! The host was wonderful at making sure we felt welcomed and giving restaurant recommendations. It took us a little bit to figure out the routine of when the spa heater would be on but once we knew what that schedule was, we thoroughly enjoyed the backyard area. Our sons loved the sunshelf in the pool. Lots of family memories made. Thanks!

True Oasis

This place was exactly as advertised! We were close to the beach access, but on the windy days we were able to hang out at the pool and hot tub! It was an oasis to us, and truly allowed us to relax and enjoy our whole vacation! When we had any questions, we always got a quick response! We will be back!

We enjoyed ourselves at this beautiful and relaxing home. We loved cooking on the outside grill and relaxing in the pool/hot tub. The house and linens were clean and we loved that some normal day items were provided (toilet paper, paper towels, beach towels, soap, shampoo). The beach is about .5 mile walk from the house. I do wish they would have included instructions on how to use the hot tub but the owner was very responsive and helpful when we asked about it. I’d love to stay here again!!

Concert

We were in town for the kane brown concert at the amphitheater. The house was absolutely perfect. Beautifully decorated, amazing shower, a heated pool and hot tub to relax in at night. The ocean is walking distance away which was great during the day, and the amphitheater was just minutes away and easy to get to. We were able to cook breakfast in the well Stocked kitchen. The host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, and we did. The home is also exceptionally clean and well maintained. I would definitely book here again as well as recommend it to anyone looking to book in the area. Fantastic stay.

House was excellent, with some nice amenities (pool was great, darts, putting green). 20 minute drive to downtown St. Augustine and 2 minute drive to Butler Beach. House was clean. Had some very minor things and our host was very nice and extremely responsive. When we got in a battery needed to be replaced in a smoke alarm. They said “maintenance person will be there in a few minutes” and he was there in less than 10 minutes- fixed it for night away. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful experience

This place was as beautiful as pictured, the pool and the house was clean. The backyard was like a private little Oasis. The pool can be heated, which was very pleasant, and the hot tub part of the pool was a very fun feature. our host was very attentive And very quick to respond to any questions we had. This was a wonderful stay and I will definitely be bringing my family back. saint Augustine is a wonderful place to visit as well. The house is a couple blocks from the beach. Very nice walk through the neighborhood, which was very quiet and seemed very safe. - amazing master closet - awesome shower with good pressure -house had EVERYTHING for cooking - the pool is so clean and tranquil with waterfalls and cool wading area

Family Time

This property is absolutely wonderful! The hosts are absolutely amazing, we had some questions and they were so attentive and responsive and kind and friendly just wonderful! The house is great! The backyard is so much fun and enjoyable! The host thought of everything for the backyard and we had so much fun just hanging out there! We had 6 adults and there was plenty of room and the kitchen is stocked and has plenty of space! It only takes a few minutes to walk to the beach. Just a wonderful and relaxing location. Also, quick uber ride to see the beautiful old town in St Augustine. If we could this VRBO 20 stars we would. It is really fantastic!

Great Spot!!!

This was a perfect house for myself, my husband, my mother, my brother and his spouse, and our pups!! It was SUPER convenient to get to the beach access where you can drive right onto the beach and park. Food at all the restaurants was amzaing. Qucik easy drive to downtown and shopping. Pool and back yard were really cool!! Light switches were just a tad confusing, but owner gave great directions for this. Would DEF go back!! My ONLY negative would be to bring your own beach chairs, as the ones in the house(which she doesnt even have to provide to be honest) were a bit beat up, usable, but not the greatest. FIVE STARS!

Great stay - only one critique

The property and location are great. Just a few blocks from the ocean and intercostal waterway but still far enough out of town with a few dining options within walking or biking distance. The outdoor space really caught our attention in the listing, the heated pool and hot tub in particular. We stayed in late February and the warmest day was 74. I've been in a heated pool before and know that given the daily temps it can still be a bit cool to swim in. We were really looking forward to the hot tub but the system is fully automated and it doesn't start heating until 7:30PM and the jets turn on after it reaches temp in 30 minutes to an hour. After that it seemed the heat would turn on for maybe 5 minutes every 20-30 minutes (just an estimate) so it just didn't have the constant warmth I'd expect. Not being able to use the hot tub when we wanted was disappointing. I may have misunderstood the listing and maybe there was an option for always on or on demand usage at an additional price but it wasn't clear. It would have been well worth an additional fee and would have justified 5 stars across the board.

This property is amazing! Our good friends from Louisiana and us from Virginia spent 8 nights. The house and backyard are PERFECT!! We enjoyed the shaded area and the pool every day..........awesome. Several putting challenges within our group, (yes they have regular putters and real golf balls), it was a lot of fun!The pool ledge was great and the fountains in the pool were pretty cool!MY COMPLAINT: This home was not as clean as it should have been. The potential for a perfect place is damaged by the neglect. No dish soap, bathroom soap, trash can liners, cleaner/disinfectant. The floors in both bathrooms were not touched, nor was the bathtub in the guest bathroom. We bought 409 and cleaned both bathrooms top to bottom and washed the disgusting bathmats. We are two light colored short haired women with balding husbands. There was a disgusting amount of long straight black hair in Master Bath. Not only on the floor, but also on the mats. They all looked like new once washed! The outside needs a good, hefty spring cleaning.I will say that we would return again, it's SO CLOSE to perfection! The Owner was responsive to a pool pump issue and the lawn and pool people came as scheduled, with professional work! The location is perfect, the pool, quiet neighborhood, and drive on the beach at the end of the road.

Neglected home

The advertisement photos look beautiful, however this house is in much need of attention. At check in for a week for July 4th, it seems the cleaners left in a hurry, the house was not clean, the lawn was overgrown, the backyard and pool area was trashed….absolutely filthy. Rotten weathered , broken furniture. Pool filters,waterfall, lights don’t work. Called hosts, texted, they did nothing to correct any issues. We are not party people, but beware there are several trip spots outside. The place is a health hazard. The advertised outdoor kitchen is a rust bucket. We left several days early and filed complaint with VRBO. The owners did absolutely nothing to ensure this property is worth vacationers time or money. Even our dog was miserable. Beware

Fabulous St. Augustine location

We were just 3 ladies out to explore downtown St. Augustine as well as the oceanside. This wonderful getaway was the perfect location to readily take in both sites. As you closely follow your google map into the complete unknown, you drive into a very well kept residential neighborhood. To your delight, you see that your destination is a beautifully landscaped corner lot with the view of the Atlantic Ocean a couple of walkable blocks away. We had all the information we needed from the property manager to access our code to enter the home. What a spacious lovely home. It took us a hot second to first check out the backyard pool and patio. We were so thrilled that this fun entertaining area would be called our vacation home for several days. In addition to the pool and patio, we made good use of the equipped kitchen, dining table and living room to watch late night TV. We all agreed that our beds were very comfortable and the master shower did not disappoint. Travel wise, I think it only took us a straight shot of 20 minutes to drive downtown. We walked two days to the beautiful sand dune beaches and caught one sunset. Our property manager was very attentive and so helpful with restaurant ideas. We knew we were in good hands with an owner who obviously takes such great pride in their property. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy all that this home and location had to offer us.

Girls Trip with a side of Hurricane

The house and amenities were nice. The pool and hot tub were fun. The large driveway was great for our group of 6, since we were all coming from different places. It was quick and easy to get every where we wanted to go. The owner was responsive to our questions/requests. We arrived a day late due to Hurricane Helene. Because of the hurricane we expected there to be some mess, such as chairs blown about and leaves all over. There was a tree knocked down on the putting green. We were told pool & lawn services would come during our visit. They never came. I figured they were backed up due to the storm, but never got any update on them. We had planned a putt putt tournament, so we were a little disappointed the tree wasn’t removed but understand it was due to the hurricane vs poor yard maintenance. The outside could use a deep clean, there was a layer of dust and spider webs on most everything, which were not due to the storm. Additionally, the outside light on the Caddy Shack blinked all night every night. Closing the bedroom blinds solved the issue for us, but I felt bad for the neighbors across the street.

We chose this house because it is in a wonderful location and offered everything we wanted in a home for relaxation, fun and entertainment. We are very family oriented and knew this property offered a great environment for entertaining family and friends. Our family loves the pool and putting green and of course everyone loves the outdoor living area and outdoor kitchen and Tiki bar.

What makes this property unique

We love the easy walk to the beach and close access to a boat ramp and the intercoastal waterway. Water access is literally a couple of minutes in either direction. PERFECT LOCATION for enjoying everything St. Augustine and Anastasia Island has to offer!!!
