Ocean-view very clean large bedroom and bathroom
This property is located in the Carmel highlands, very convenient for access to all points on the Monterey Peninsula.
Pros: The VRBO part of the property is attached to the main house but in the back with its own entrance and heating/cooling system. There is a wonderful ocean view from all the windows. There is a lovely deck outside the entryway with a table a 2 chairs where we could watch the sea and sunset.
The room has a refrigerator, microwave, hot water pot, 2 ceramic mugs, and a coffeemaker. The owner also had two wine glasses and a bottle of wine waiting for us.
The entire place was immaculate, and the bathroom has big fluffy towels and bottles of shampoo and body wash in the spotless tub/shower.
The bedding was good and the room lighting was adequate for reading. There were a total of three chairs in the room as well as a desk and working window blinds.
The owner is friendly and caring, and made sure we could park our car safely away from the construction vehicles working at the house across the street.
Cons: For some people, the many steps to get down to the VRBO unit might be too much, especially if carrying heavy luggage. However, we are in our 60's, and it worked out fine for us
--We could hear voices and footsteps above us fairly early each morning.
- The mattress was too soft for us
