Wonderful hosts, great before and during stay communication, very friendly and welcoming. Cottage was cozy, well appointed and had the best view from the screened porch for morning coffees and evening glasses of wine!
The property was perfect! Every detail had been thoughtfully attended to. Beautifully decorated, immaculate, perfect waterfront setting, and even friendly neighbors!
Particularly appreciated were the welcome goodies and bottle of wine! We can't wait to return!
Everything as promised. Lovely cottage on larger estate property. Great decor. Comfortable. Wonderful views. Loved the neighborhood. Kayaked multiple times and used the bikes. Would visit again.
This place is amazing with perfect attention to detail. Beautiful private setting, lots of amenities like use of kayaks, bicycles and fire pit.
Also perfect quiet spot for unwinding and enjoying the screen porch for bird and waterfowl watching!
Will definitely return.
What a little slice of heaven. Checkin was easy peasy. Owner left a welcome basket w goodies and wine. That was a very nice gesture. The property and area is beautiful. I wish I could call it my home away from home:). The home was perfect, clean and everything the pictures showed. Just a perfect getaway to escape the craziness of life. Didn’t want to leave.
What a sweet cottage on the water! Fantastic water views, beautifully furnished, and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage was immaculate. Kelly was an amazing and welcoming host! Upon our arrival, there was a charcuterie board and wine waiting for us, along with a basket of various food/snacks. All was greatly appreciated after a day of travel. We settled right in to enjoy the water views from the screened in porch. Needless to say, our stay was very relaxing! Will definitely stay here again.
Lovely cottage on well-kept and private property. Nicely equipped kitchen if you want to dine in, but many good options nearby for eating out. We arrived slightly road weary to find a generous and delicious charcuterie board waiting for us - one of several hospitable touches provided by the thoughtful and accessible hosts.
This lovely cottage on a beautiful point on the Tred Avon River was perfect. From the welcome "goodies" upon arrival, to the charming decor, to the pair of Adirondack chairs where we spent most of our waking hours, it was exactly what we needed (and more than we expected.) We rested, we read, we ventured into St. Michael's and around the area, and we returned to the cottage, happy to settle back into the chairs and watch the sunset. Thank you for sharing this bit of Heaven with us. We'll be back!
What a lovely cottage! My husband and I had a great 3 night stay in June 2023. We enjoyed the spectacular views, biking, kayaking and touring the area. Kelly and David are fantastic hosts, leaving us a welcome note with a basket of goodies and a bottle of wine. This is a lovely, peaceful getaway!
I don’t want to over gush/drool, but we couldn’t be happier with our anniversary weekend at Goose Neck Point. Beautiful location, cool/cozy cottage and the owners/hosts couldn’t be nicer — above and beyond, you’ll see. So thanks again to them, and we can’t wait to return!
We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully decorated and immaculately clean cottage. Kelly is an amazing host. Upon arrival we were greeted with a delicious charcuterie board along with wine and a bunch of other snacks. The location is amazing, at the end of a peninsula with big water views, plenty of privacy, and a perfect screened porch to take it all in. Although you'll find plenty to do in the area, we found it hard to pull ourselves away from just hanging out on the porch reading and watching the boats and birds go by. Truly a 5 star experience. We hope to come back again soon!
We wanted to spend some time on the water and have the ability and access to fishing and kayaks. This property did not disappoint. The cottage had everything we needed, and then some! We were welcomed with a lovely note, snack basket, charcuterie board and bottle of wine. Two bikes were available for use, the fire pit was loaded and ready for an evening fire. Lovely screened in porch facing the water. Friendly neighbors. We loved the area so much that our retirement plans have no included looking into the area for our future!

We had a very stressful summer and needed some chill out time. This weekend was perfect. The cottage was adorable, stylish and clean. The river views and sunsets were spectacular. The hosts were inviting and gracious (cheese plate!) We even saw an eagle catch a fish! We will be back.
My husband & I have stayed in quite a number of rentals. Cottage at Goose Neck Point rates as #1! We have never had such attention to details from the day we arrived until the day we left! Exquisite all around! Thank you, Kelly & David!
The cottage was perfect! Exactly as advertised, well appointed, incredible views--- just what we had hoped for. Kelly was extremely thoughtful and kind to leave us a sweet note congratulating us on our 35th wedding anniversary, along with a bottle of champagne and delicious charcuterie board. She was also incredibly responsive and helpful with restaurant recommendations (which we followed and loved). We had a great time. Thanks for creating such a memorable experience!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property, which probably tells you almost all you need to know. We loved it last year, and loved it even more this time. There is nothing not to love about this beautiful, tastefully appointed cottage. The location couldn't be more convenient to great dining in St. Michael's, but more than that, the cottage sits on a beautiful piece of land that offers an expansive green lawn (great for strolling) next to the gorgeous Tred Avon River. Because it's at kind of a 'point,' you can gaze left in the morning and see the sunrise over the water, and switch your gaze right to see dazzling sunsets. In between time, there are the never-ending sparkles on the water. The home itself is a dream - it's absolutely PERFECT for two people. It's often difficult to find waterfront homes that don't have far more bedrooms than a couple needs, just for starters. But the place feels incredibly spacious with its high ceilings and brilliant layout. An extremely comfortable bed a lovely bathroom, a sweet living area, and a spacious kitchen that honestly is the kitchen of my dreams, with a lovely dining table and a darling little sunroom just off the kitchen. I think my favorite spot is the nearly house-length screened porch, complete with a porch swing and a cozy sofa for gazing out on the water. The host is attentive, responsive, kind . . . honestly, I cannot think of a thing that is not marvelous about this property. We will be back!
Absolutely lovely place!! I was here for a little solo retreat and this cottage did not disappoint!! Owners were very responsive and when above and beyond to make sure my stay was just what I needed. The “extras” were a wonderful surprise. I have nothing but great things to say about this little hidden gem. I’ll be back soon!! Thank you!!
The hosts are very welcoming and friendly; the cottage is incredibly well-appointed and extremely comfortable; and the location is ideal for just hanging out by the water or for visiting a few of the Eastern Shore’s nicest towns. It is in a very private, relaxing setting, ideal for cycling, walks, kayaking and lounging in an Adirondack chair and reading. And the well-outfitted kitchen is perfect for cooking when you’re not out enjoying awesome nearby restaurants.
The Cottage at Gooseneck Point is a 10!
My husband and I were looking for a place to getaway for the weekend, on the water.
We found this adorable cottage, right on the water and close to Saint Michaels. We have been down to the area several times and really this was one of the best stays.
The Hosts were really great, left us a bottle of wine and cheese plate when we arrived! the only thing that would have improved our stay would be if the bed was a little more comfortable. (by no means does this take away from the overall experience) My husband fished right off the coast, and we were able to launch our kayaks from the boat ramp! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet weekend on the water.
The cottage had everything we needed for our long weekend biking getaway. It is an easy bike ride to the Bellevue-Oxford Ferry. The location is perfect for easy access to St. Michaels, Easton, Oxford and Tilghman Island. In the evening we enjoyed sitting in the backyard by the waters edge stargazing.
The house was generously stocked with provisions so that you could easily make a light breakfast or certainly snack well.
A lovely home. We would absolutely stay there again!
We loved our five-night stay at this enchanting property and recommend it wholeheartedly. The overall area is private, quiet, safe, beautifully landscaped, and a convenient home base for area attractions. The cottage location is all of the above with water proximity--views from indoors (close), from a delightful screened porch (closer), and from a set of inviting Adirondack chairs (closest, just feet from the Tred Avon river). The cottage interior manages to be both compact and spacious, offering generous areas for both togetherness and privacy. We loved the large, well-equipped kitchen. We certainly did not expect the selection of artisan oil and balsamic vinegars, the orange juice and fresh eggs, the box of munchies, or the scrumptious charcuterie board and bottle of wine that had been left for us, but they were all greatly appreciated and contributed to the ambiance of a special getaway. As our days unfolded, we found ourselves continually surprised and delighted at the little touches of thematic interest that were incorporated everywhere in the decor of this home, and how much care and consideration were given to the comfort and convenience of guests. Kudos to the hosts for creating this gem of a place and making it available to those seeking a magical Chesapeake Bay experience. We did not want to leave, and hope to return very soon.
We have been VRBO'ing for quite a few years now and have had lots of positive experiences - but THIS property goes beyond all expectations in ways others can't.
I can't think of another property layout that could offer what this one does - soothing water in every direction (where else can you see sunrise AND sunset over water?) and the large screened in porch with a view of the water was so comfortable and relaxing that we had to talk ourselves into leaving to go anywhere!
The host could not have been more helpful at every turn - plus there were hospitality "extras" and sweet, personal touches that made us feel welcome and at home. Above & beyond!
I appreciated the decor of the cottage; so many waterfront spots can get "over the top" with (can I say this next part out loud?) garish nautical-themed kitsch that it can be a bit over the top. This place was tasteful in every way. The kitchen is astonishingly big and so user-friendly and thoughtfully equipped; the bedroom was quiet (such a comfy bed too); the bathroom was pristine . . . there was not one 'wrong' note in this place. Thee next time we go back to the Eastern Shore we want to stay HERE again (and probably again and again).
Deep gratitude to the host for being so friendly, welcoming, informative, and helpful at every turn. This is a very unique and special property - in a region that has LOTS of really gorgeous places to stay. It's a rare find too - a ONE bedroom (perfect for a couple) that is also waterfront.
Charming cottage right on the Tred Avon River. Just as advertised. Very quiet and serene. Greeted by a thoughtful basket of treats. Close to all the best spots on the Eastern Shore. A screened in porch to die for with a swing and a couch. For a couple, this a spectacular place.
We loved everything about this sweet cottage on the water!
The decor was top notch, and so welcoming!
We stayed 3 nights, and can’t say enough about this beautiful area of Maryland.
Great restaurants, shoppes, and delicious crabs!
We also did the ferry ride over to Oxford.
Had an amazing time at this property!
The host also left some yummy treats, and a bottle of champagne for our anniversary!
Can’t wait to come back!
