Quiet, spacious, clean, cozy fireplace with wood provided, beautiful views, kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. Nice to be close to favorite hikes in the area and feel like we had our own slice of paradise! Will definitely return
The house is truly beautiful, well cared for, and the surrounding nature is lovely. We really appreciated how quiet the location is. They also have a level 2 EV charger on site that we were able to use. The hosts were very responsive and friendly when we had something we asked about. Overall, a fantastic place— we hope to return!
The house was beautiful, spacious and fully equipped. The only caveat was the oven wasn’t operational, which made it hard to eat meals in as planned.

I'm very sorry about the oven, we just can't get appliances fixed quickly where we are. Also, i did send a message before your stay that the oven was broken. We bought all top of the line Thor appliances when we furnished this place to avoid this situation, but alas, it happened anyways.
The property was just perfect for our family. Excellent hiking in the area. This is a wonderful place to set up a basecamp for Escalante Staircase, Bryce Canyon and Capital Reef!
Beautiful home and lovely back yard! This is a hidden gem! Very nice touches and wonderful open concept. Just outside of Escalante. Love, love, love this place! Thank you!!
House was fantastic. Very roomy living area and bedrooms. Wonderful having 3 full bathrooms, especially after long days of hiking. We would definitely stay here again.
This house was just right. We felt like we were out in nature and yet Escalante was nearby for a convenient place to get food. It was clean, roomy, and very modern feeling. We really had a very fun time staying there. Also 2 washers and dryers were a big help with our large group.
Beautiful home, comfortable for our family. Only issue was the slowness of the oven (temperature did not seem to be accurate or in agreement with the setting)
We enjoyed the heck out of the Birch Creek House. We chose the Birch Creek House as base camp to enjoy the evening at while visiting Bryce Canyon and Captial Reef during the day. Location was excellent! Wish we could have stayed just a few more days to enjoy just the house itself. Design and Layout was fantastic. We will be back at some point and recommend the Birch Creek House to be your next place to stay!
Amazing views; well apportioned, great layout. Location was perfect for Accra to the Grand Staircase

A wonderful home with great views — we loved the location because you are ‘in nature’ ,,, and the owners provide all the amenities you need to make your time in Escalente enjoyable.
We stayed three nights and loved the property. We were active during the days hiking and exploring the area and loved to come home to a beautiful property to relax and cook dinner in the state of the art kitchen and enjoy the outdoor fire pit at night. The property is well situated close to town and National and state parks! We highly recommend this VRBO!
The location of the house is perfect, my son loved playing in the river. And the hikes were unforgettable.
My wife wants to go back already. I would totally recommend this house to anyone looking to visit the area.

About the host

I'm the luckiest man on earth. I'm the husband of an wonderful, beautiful woman named Ashley. We have 3 kids together, another on the way. I have an engineering degree however after 13 years of that, I decided to quit and do real estate full time. I love being an vacation rental host, I love hearing about how much people enjoyed what my brother and I built together.
Why they chose this property
I've been coming to this property since I was born, my family bought it about the time I was born. It's very dear to my heart. My brother and I decided to buy some land from my mom, the owner of the Slot Canyons Inn, and build a house on it. We put our heart and souls into the house, because the land is special to us and we wouldn't build anything but the best on it. Come enjoy the house we dreamed up and made a reality!
What makes this property unique
This property includes not only a river but also a double waterfall. How many vacation rentals include a waterfall?? In addition to that the land contains the oldest human habitation discovered on the Colorado Plateau. https://news.byu.edu/news/what-locals-ate-10000-years-ago
