Escalante Pioneer Home Page
*Please note that VRBO is having an issue on their website showing our property has a pool but we DO NOT HAVE A POOL and have contacted VRBO about this issue multiple times*. Spacious home in Escalante, Utah. Central to various hikes in Grand Staircase monument, Bryce Canyon and other nearby National Parks. We also encourage you to check out the less well known hikes in areas of Boulder that are a short drive- the adventures are endless! Great views to enjoy from the four patios in the evening in this quiet neighborhood. We just completed remodeling this pioneer home with brand new paint and flooring throughout! It is a home that has been in our family for 6 generations since it was built in 1905. We love to hike the nearby trails and appreciate your stay as the funds are going to restoring the home and to keeping it family owned. We have also recently purchased a brand new game table for guests to enjoy while in the home with Foosball, pool and air hockey! Lots of other board games and movies come ready. We hope you enjoy your stay!
The home has been updated with central air and heating, as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience. We do have a fridge, but please note there is no dishwasher or ice maker.
BedDetails: Master bedroom: King bed + full bed Back bedroom: Queen bed Front bedroom: Queen bed We also have a thick twin mattress floor pad and blow up queen mattress with bedding if needed + pack-n-play available.

What a great place!!! Love the rich history, all of the room, and close location to many of Utahs awesome attractions. Thanks for a great stay. We would highly recommend this place.
Great assortment of board games and activities for kids. Washer and dryer were great and had all the cookware we needed in the kitchen. Super clean, and a great place to recharge in between hikes and adventures.
We stayed here as a home base for hiking in Bryce and the Grand Staircase. The area is so unique and the people were incredibly kind! The history of the house add a whole other element of intrigue of the area!!! We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have a place to relax and clean up after a long day of hiking. Home is charming and conveniently located to many amazing hikes. Home was clean and pet friendly. Host was quick to respond and very friendly.
We loved our stay in your historic home!!Comfortable beds, spacious rooms and a great kitchen to cook in. We had 3 terrific days and our dogs love the open outdoor space. Thank you for providing a photographic book on the history!!! We did some great hikes in the area!! We would love to return
The house is a pretty good deal for what it is, and we had an okay stay overall. However, we had a safety issue on the last day. My husband stepped on a raised bump in the old wood floor outside the bathroom and injured the arch of his foot. It has been three days and it still hurts him to walk. We hate to leave a neutral review because the value is good, but the floor is a genuine hazard. If you stay here, please be extremely careful or wear shoes inside until the floors are repaired

I’m so sorry to hear this Katie! We have had guests stay for 4 years and this is the first time we have heard about a complaint of a bump in the floor. I know accidents happen, but we will definitely take a closer look at it to see if there is anything we can do. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention and hope his foot feels better soon!
Such a charming place to stay. I loved the history book on the house! The location is so perfect with easy access to some of my favorite hikes in Utah.

Beautiful home and beautiful location! Hard with one bathroom, but had plenty of space! Host was super helpful and gracious! Great place for families! Lots to do!
Felt like stepping back in time, 10 foot ceilings, classic older trim, very roomy and comfortable. We would go there again to stay in this historical home.
This historic home has lots of charm and character. We had everything we needed for our stay. Small town located near many very cool hikes. Loved, loved our stay!
The story of house and family is what makes it special. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we are looking forward to visiting your home and town again.

This Pioneer home has been in our family since 1905. We decide to purchase it to keep it in the family and are working to renovate and update it. Using it as a Vacation home has been a great way to generate income to maintain it and we love having guests enjoy the uniqueness of the home. We love coming to Escalante ourselves to visit family and hike!

This home has unique character and charm that you will only find with home built over 100 years ago, yet it is also very comfortable as many updates have been made to ensure a great stay!
