As featured in the July/August 2017 issue of Home & Design and Milieu Magazine in 2019, This 200 year old Hunters Retreat, has been completely renovated to the highest standards. Please note that there is a spring house on the property that is not fenced in and could be a hazard to young kids,.
The main house has 3 bedrooms, two on the upstairs floor that is joined by one large bathroom with separate toilet. On the main floor is another bedroom that has a VERY comfortable pull out couch with a private toilet and has a full bathroom on the lower level. It's a 200 year authentic former farm house that has been fully restored, so the layout is not your standard one. The guest cottage has a separate listing on airbnb (called super cosy cottage on large estate) , but can be rented with the main house so everyone can be together. Hence is why the listing states that it sleeps 8. If you would like to book for 8 people though, I will need to check that the guest house is available during that weekend as it has a separate listing on airbnb.
We also have a few private chefs available for your consideration, if you would like to have a home cooked meal, picnic or be taken care of, culinary wise ,during your entire stay. If you are interested please let me know and I can send you my recommendations. Guest access The property is set on very private 22 acres, at the end of a gravel road, backed to Goose Creek where you can go for walks for hours, go to the creek, to Middleburg town or the Spa at the Salamandar, all 5' away, or visit some of the best wineries in VA that is starting at 3 miles from our house (Greenhill). Other things to note Again, if you would like to book for 8 people, let me know so that I can check if the guest house is available. We have only used the best materials during this remodeling and are only interested in people that appreciate a high end home and will treat it with respect. This is NOT a "hunt cabin".

We rented both the main house and guest house. The entire time was absolutely amazing and we all fell in love with the charm these places offered. The property manager was very responsive and a sheer pleasure to work with. We cannot express how much we enjoyed our trip to Middleburg!
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this most stunning home and grounds in Middleburg VA. While the indoor space is beautifully decorated, serene and cozy, we spent a great deal of time out of doors on the stone patio with its beautiful alfresco dining space. Perfect !
Everything was perfect. The house is immaculate, and Natasha was so responsive about any questions. We came for Christmas in Middleburg and it was the perfect home base for three adults and an adventurous dog who loved the big fields by the house. If you’re looking to escape DC for the weekend, this is the perfect place to do so in complete comfort (and style!!).

About the host
Hosted by Natascha Folens
I'm an equestrian and an Interior designer from Belgium, living in the US. I have 5 airbnbs and I'm new to the VRBO platform. I've been a Superhost on Airbnb for 8 years. I love to travel and stay and always ponder why I'm drawn to certain hotels more than others. What "experience" do they offer that's above and beyond a regular hotel. This is exactly what I try to offer at my vacation rentals. Whether it's a detail of a Nespresso machine, or a feather duvet, it all comes together when you're staying at a beautiful property that's been thoughtfully designed, in a great location with great views.
Why they chose this property
Cosiness and privacy (but close access to town) and the key amenities to this property. This is probably why it's rented non stop while I was on the airbnb platform for the last 8 years . This property will not disappoint if you choose to book it.
What makes this property unique
I designed the main house with an eclectic yet rustic feel, that is warm and inviting. It's not what you will find typically in the Middleburg area, as it has a European flavor, but it has been completely remodeled and offers everything you would need as if you were staying at a boutique hotel with a gas fireplace in the kitchen, a wonderful wood burning fireplace in the dining room and family room and a large fire pit outside. Comfortable beds with feather duvet, hardwood floors, full kitchen including dishwasher and microwave, rain shower in the bathroom with a two person tub and a big screen TV with comfortable seating in the living room and a historic stone patio.
