Century-old log cabin! Hot tub, game room, firepit, 5 min from Pigeon Forge
Welcome to Greenwood Historic Cabin! Step back in time in this genuine, hand-built Smoky Mountain cabin, nestled into the edge of the forest at the foot of Bluff Mountain. You'll be transported to a simpler time, close to nature and focused on family and friends. While experiencing the unique, old-time ambiance, you'll also enjoy modern comforts and amenities including the private hot tub, outdoor fireplace, game room, large screen TV, fast internet, and more.
As you enter Greenwood Cabin, feel the cozy embrace of the "front room" (what we in the 21st century call the "living room") with its original stone fireplace and antiques, inviting you to settle in and enjoy a long, pleasant conversation with your loved ones, read a good book, or watch a movie. The 55" smart TV has free TV shows and movies, or you can enter the credentials for your favorite streaming service. A DVD library and player is also available in the credenza below the TV.
Meander into the kitchen to create delicious meals, pop some popcorn, brew a cup of joe, or just skip the cooking and enjoy carryout at the kitchen table from your choice of hundreds of local restaurants. The decor will almost make you believe you've traveled back in time, but check out all the useful gadgets and appliances hidden away in the cupboards and drawers! It's a well equipped kitchen, with every pot and pan, plate, bowl, serving platter, and utensil you might need. A wooden high chair is available for babies and toddlers.
The two main bedrooms are furnished with queen sized log beds with the comfiest mattresses you can imagine. A common area in the back of the cabin has a twin sized antique bed with forest views. A portable crib is available for little ones.
The bathroom has a roomy walk-in shower and plenty of space for toiletries. A clothes washer and dryer are on site for your use, and there is flex work space for professional or school work. High speed internet is accessible throughout the property.
Outside the front door you can rock on the porch as you enjoy the woodland and mountain views. On the side deck, relax in the warmth of the private hot tub and then grill up a masterpiece and dine al fresco. On the side lawn, toast up some marshmallows over the fire in the outdoor fireplace or enjoy a game of corn hole. Amble over to the game room and play shuffleboard, giant Connect 4, Skeeball, pub games, board games, and more! The hot tub and game room are not shared by other properties.
Greenwood Historic Cabin is committed to sustainability. We offer eco-friendly soaps and shampoo, use LED light bulbs and other energy-saving features, and are currently re-wilding a portion of the property to reduce mowing and protect and encourage wildlife.
There's a grocery store, two convenience stores, and a pizza/Italian food restaurant just half a mile from the cabin, so you needn't drive far if you need supplies or want a quick meal. A few miles further, there are many restaurants, as well as a Kroger and a Publix to choose from when you want to stock up the larder. The Welcome Book has a listing of nearby restaurants.
When you're ready to head out for local fun, there's a wide variety of amazing attractions in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville, just minutes away. Some of the closest attractions are listed below this description.
Time for a good night's sleep? Head back to Greenwood and sink into your soft, cozy bed. Let the peace of the mountains bring you a restful night and happy dreams of fun tomorrows.

We loved this cabin and when we come back, it will be to stay here! It was close to society but also off enough where we felt like we were in the mountains. It was so cozy. We loved the game room and fire pit outside. Hot tub was very hot! They even provided a first kit, which came into use Great place for the price and had everything we could possibly need.

What a wonderful cabin! It is the best cabin we have stayed at in the Pigeon Forge area. It was perfect. The bed was comfy and my husband loved the hot tub. The game room really made this perfect for my kiddo too.

Fantastic property and location. The cabin was nearby to everything but far enough away to completely relax. The cabin had everything we needed and there is food and fuel available very nearby without going into PF. Would definitely stay here again.

We'll let our cleaners know that you enjoyed how clean they keep it! We're hoping the little "forest" we've planted between the cabin and the road provides some distance from the traffic.
Great stay at this convenient, charming cabin. Very clean with all the necessities and comfy mattresses! Great place for small families. Very accommodating host! Highly recommended!

Loved location
Could have been cleaner and the grounds maintained better loved the location
This spot is absolutely ideal. It’s secluded enough to feel peaceful, yet close enough to nearby spots for some exploration. The atmosphere and decor of the charming little cabin were spot on. After a full day of checking out the nearby towns, the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. I would stay again and bring the children.

About the host
Hosted by Abby & Bill Hillman
We're Abby & Bill, owners of Greenwood Historic Cabin. We've traveled all over the U.S., Europe, and parts of Asia, often staying in privately owned lodgings and enjoying the ambiance and amenities that a home-style stay provides. So we're delighted to host travelers who, like us, want an individualized experience--a home away from home. We're always available to answer your questions, and hope you have a wonderful stay here in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is deep within the mountains--at the foot of Bluff Mountain and with views of Hatcher and Piney Mountains through the foliage--while being very close to the Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg attractions. It's also a lovely drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Greenwood is easy to access without having to drive on any steep or narrow mountain roads. There are groceries, firewood, charcoal, and a few dining/takeout options less than a mile away.
What makes this property unique
This is one of the very few original, hand-made log cabins left in the Smokies. It has been lovingly restored, with luxuries and amenities added that bring it into the 21st century while maintaining its early 20th century charm. It is tucked into the forest, so there's privacy, wildlife, and lovely views, but it's also close to the Pigeon Forge action.
