DANCING BEAR is a cozy cabin with awesome 30 mile views. Situated in a semi secluded mountain setting between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Dancing Bear is a beautifully decorated log cabin that sleeps 2-4 with Spectacular Mountain Views and is perfect for a romantic getaway or small family vacation. Dancing Bear is located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg just minutes from both towns and only 5 minutes from Dollywood, Splash Country and the National park. Dancing Bear is equipped with everything you could need; fully equipped kitchen, cable, LCD, DVD, movies, pool table, hot tub, gas fireplace, washer & dryer and don't forget BREATH TAKING VIEWS!!! Make plans now to stay in this truly amazing one bedroom, one bath log cabin with out of this World views!

Our cabin is located in a log cabin community called Sky Harbor, accessed from the King Branch Road exit just a couple of minutes drive southeast of Pigeon Forge on Parkway 441 going up the mountain toward Gatlinburg. All cabins are owned individually, as opposed to being part of a resort. You can expect to drive 5 minutes from the Parkway up to the cabin. The closest Trolley Stop is located at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center, just a few minutes farther southeast from the King Branch Road exit on Parkway 441. Click on our map link to see exactly where Dancing Bear is located and you can zoom out to see Pigeon Forge (about 2 minutes northwest from the King Branch Road exit) and Gatlinburg (about 5 minutes southeast).

You will enjoy the privacy and peacefulness at Dancing Bear, since each cabin lot is about an acre and the nearest cabins are at least 200 feet away on either side, or 500 feet down the mountain.

As you enter this cozy cabin you will find a beautifully decorated open area with gas fireplace and a Flat screen TV with DVD player along with a large leather Couch and Chair with cozy pillows along with a wood rocker. The fully equipped kitchen includes a wood table with four comfortable chairs. You will be pleased to find there are plenty of silverware, utensils, pots & pans, cook and bake ware, appliances and of course a coffee maker and toaster.

In the master bedroom you will see the Jacuzzi perfect for a romantic evening. You will also have a sturdy King size log bed with handmade country quilt, dresser and flat screen with DVD player.

Enjoy a game of pool or darts in the gaming area. You will never have to leave this cabin paradise to have a great time! On the large back deck you will have a huge hot tub, plus rocking chairs to enjoy the mountains with your special someone. You will have complete privacy on the deck!

The cabin has lots of adorable and romantic decorations with lots of windows for viewing the mountains. There is a full bathroom with washer and dryer. There’s even an ironing board and hairdryer! Amenities include Cable TV with network stations and movie channels including Starz and Encore plus free wireless internet is another amenity this cabin offers.

This is the ultimate cabin to enjoy your honeymoon, celebrate an anniversary or romantic getaway and is also perfect for a small family that wants to have fun. We hope that you will enjoy the amazing views this cabin has to offer.

Smoky Mountains Visit

This was a wonderful place to stay for my wife and I. We had a relaxing three nights playing pool, sitting by the fire, and enjoying beautiful views from the hot tub on the deck. Very clean and well stocked. Close to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Only negative is the steep drive up to the cabin - would not want to attempt in bad weather - in fact, we didn't want to attempt after dark! Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Nice stay.. peaceful and beautiful views of the mountains..hot tub was awesome, pool table was nice... we even got to see a black bear during out stay...we would definitely come back and rent this cabin..

Quiet and Serene

Very nice cabin tucked away up the in mountain community. Quite the drive up the mountain but manageable if you drive slow. Bedroom was large but lacked area for clothing, living room was comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Large outdoor deck with hot tub was awesome and spent most of our evenings there. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and we enjoyed seeing the Great Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg.

25th Wedding Anniversary

Our stay at Dancing Bear was fantastic. The first time up the mountain to the cabin was exciting. After we went up and down a few times we did get used to it. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable including the bed, we slept great. We stayed 10 days and there was so much to do and see. It was a beautiful area and the mountains are stunning which you can see from the back deck of the cabin. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was great! Neat, tidy, and well furnished. Chilly the first night. Maybe bring an extra blanket, and definitely bring your own pillows. View was awesome, nice hot tub.

Wonderful experience at this lovely cabin! Our favorite cabin we have rented in this area. Perfect size for couples. Very clean, bed very comfortable, washer and dryer was a plus we appreciated. Beautiful view from deck & hot tub. Rob responded quickly to any correspondence needed by us. We would highly recommend.

Nice weekend!

Great stay at the cabin! My only less than positive takeaway was proximity to neighbors. We could hear them pretty clearly (they weren’t being loud). Just know that going in and you’re good to go. Other than that, no complaints! Great place for a getaway in the Smokies.

Loved the view!

The view is awesome. Pretty high up on a mountain, 2,500 feet per the property owner. Cabin is clean, had no complaints with what we needed. Property owner very responsive to ?’s when asked. Only reason I gave a four star on cleanliness of property is a couple of areas could use a detailed cleaning. Overall an awesome stay!

Anniversary renewal

Loved the cabin. Perfect after renewing our vows for our 30th anniversary. It renewed our relationship. I beg the owners to re evaluate the mattress. It is truly horrible. We slept sideways and on the couch. But overall it was truly perfect

Perfect little cabin

I rated this listing as a 2 out of 5 because… the pictures do NOT give this cabin any justice!! These photos seem very outdated compared to the cabin we stayed in. Our jaws dropped when we walked in. We could not believe how nice this cabin was for the price that we paid. The cabin was clean, tidy and comfortable. The ONLY downfall of this whole entire cabin was the view… we were expecting the grand view we saw in the listing but in reality the view was super small. Obviously trees grow and it’s summer but that was the only complaint that we had. Would definitely stay here again!!

Get away spot

The cabin was cozy and nice to be away from people if that is your thing. The few minor comments I would say is the view from the back deck was nothing spectacular. The cabins in that area are pretty close so if there wasn't trees there would be no privacy. The bed frame was absolutely terrible in the fact that it squeaked and would wake me or my wife up in the night from how loud it was. Overall was it nice to get away and rest and relax, yes. Would I recommend it to anyone who wants to explore Gatlinburg/pigeon forge to do the tourist things, unfortunately no. If we would go again we'd plan more around the cabin or more things to bring to do at the cabin.

Engagement Trip!

We loved our stay at Dancing Bear! The views and hot tub were absolutely amazing! The drive up was indeed quite frightening. Got easier as our stay went on but it was harder and scarier in the rain and dark. When we were on our way to TN, Rob messaged us that the hot tub wasn’t working which we were so bummed about. He said someone was coming to fix it. We arrived maybe 5-6 hours later and it still wasn’t fixed but the repair man came when we were there and did fix it. We did have to wait until the next day for it to have warmed back up. We appreciated the clear communication about that! We would like to recommend an air fryer, that would have been a super nice addition. Really our biggest and only complaint is the bed. As we read in numerous reviews prior to our stay, people didn’t like the bed. We saw Rob comment that it was newly replaced in November. Well we would like to suggest that the owners reevaluate - it may be new but there is an overwhelming number of people who didn’t like it. Both in these reviews and the guest book. When we bought our new bed we had a 365 day sleep guarantee. We’d recommend seeing if you do too. The bed had a massive crater in the center. We had to put the throw pillows and extra blankets on the bed to attempt to level it. We both ended up trying sleep on the very end of the bed propped up with pillows and didn’t even get to sleep together or cuddle because it was so incredibly uncomfortable which sucked. It was honestly the worst bed ever.

This cabin is wonderful. It is very clean and well stocked. The decor is perfect. It was really nice to have a pool table. The best part of the cabin was the deck with the hot tub. It was so relaxing. We saw a bear our first day there. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to a question we had. We would definitely recommend (already have) and return.

Weekend getaway

Loved the cabin. Quite with a nice view. Loved the hot tub after hiking during the day. Did see a bear first morning. Walked right by the cabin. Overall great stay.
