Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Beautiful property, great location! Lots of homeless population between neighborhood and tracks but seemed harmless and stayed to themselves. Great walking distance to Petco and pier. I really can't get over how beautiful the house and property are. Immaculately kept up, clean and lots of amenities. Very roomy. House itself very quiet. Will definitely stay here again! Great communication as well.
The home was comfortable and clean, and in a perfect location to walk to both the concert we were in town for and many restaurants. Unfortunately, in order to walk to these locations we would have had to walk through several unsafe streets filled with homeless sleeping on the streets. The group did not feel safe navigating the neighborhood after dark which put a bit of a damper on the stay. The home was fine, but we would not have chosen to stay there if we had known about the surrounding area.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Lovely interior, misleading description
The interior of this home is lovely and communication with host was prompt.
Kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals.
The location is just one exit north to the bridge to Coronado Island.
The listing stated that there was 3 queen size beds and a full size sofa bed, sleeping 10. There was only 2 queen size beds, the 3rd was an air mattress. The sofa bed mattress was extremely thin and you could feel the bed frame through it. There was no bedding for the air mattress. If you only need two queens this rental will work for you, otherwise I do not suggest the sofa and air mattress.
When we brought this to the host's attention he did reach out to VRBO to have the listing changed and offered to contact VRBO to get us another rental. We declined due to having to get to a wedding.
The neighborhood does not feel the safest, a homeless encampment with visable drug use out the front window. Frequent police activity. The encampment did not bother us and mention it soley for those who might be concerned. On our last night we were kept awake by road construction taking place. If you decide to rent I would recommend asking the host if construction is complete.
The host offered a 25% discount for future stays for pointing out to him the error in the listing. It would have felt more genuine if he gave us the discount on this stay.
Place was beautiful and clean. TV was huge!
Very close to downtown.
Would recommend

What makes this property unique
Having a historically designated home in a historically designated neighborhood gives our cottage a unique charm. Having views of the modern downtown skyline allows you to have access to all that downtown has to offer while having a your own private space and yard to have the best of both worlds.,
