This was our second time at Cypress Hollow and it’s a great spot for hiking in Lost Maples State Park. Very secluded, clean, easy to book and great communication.

Great getaway!

We loved our weekend spent at this cabin. It has everything you need for cooking and it's so close to great hill country hiking locations. Would definitely return for another stay.

Great location, very comfortable stay

If we pass through the area in the future I will definitely look into staying here again first! The cabin itself was very comfortable and had everything we could possibly need as well as games, DVDs, and little activity books for the kids. Beds and couches were comfortable, the location was peaceful while still being close to so many of the attractions in the area. This is a great place to stay.

So glad you enjoyed your stay at Cypress Cabin and hope to see you again next year for the archery shoot. The ceiling fan needed batteries. I wished you would have called me and I could have put new batteries in for you. Thanks again for staying and it was a pleasure to host you!

Spring break getaway

The cabin was a great place for us to stay. It was a lovely, secluded location and served our purposes well being located between 2 state parks. Thanks, Tracy!

Quiet, good sized place

The house is a good size. We had a family of five stay and had plenty of room. The fully functioning kitchen was great so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. The washer and dryer were also a nice plus! The only downfall (which is out of the owner’s hands) was that the river was completely dried up. It would have been nice to know that before booking. The town Utopia was so cute and we really enjoyed the people. They were so kind at the diner and general store. We loved our stay!

Awesome weekend away!

We stayed here to get out of the city for a weekend and hiked at Lost Maples - very conveniently located close to the park. We very much enjoyed the cabin - it was sparkling clean and had all the kitchen essentials to cook breakfast and dinner. We also explored the town of Utopia and ate at the cafe. We found the locals to be welcoming and friendly. There are lots of great places close by and I’d love to come back and explore more. We did indeed see lots of wildlife on the property. Whitetail and axis deer came each morning and we saw an armadillo. The local cat MoMo was also a friendly visitor. It’s very peaceful and we made s’mores around the fire each night.

Just okay…

The cabin was very clean. The beds were fine. I wish that the furniture in the living area had been comfortable. Futon couch and two wooden chairs. The property has great potential, but very junky. The river has been dry for a very long time. Overall it was just okay.
