First bad experience with VRBO
The owners set the air conditioner on Econo, and every evening I would set it to 71 to sleep, and a few hours later I would wake up warm and the temp would be at 75. I called management at least 6 times, they finally got it turned down after 2 1/2 weeks, but 4 days later it changed back to 75. I was there a month and had less than a week where I slept well because of this. The refrigerator was broken the first two weeks and would not cool food properly. I lost food (eggs, milk, lunch meat, mayo, etc.). I had no ice. I understand that things break and the appliance repair had to order parts, and after a week they brought me a dorm size fridge which did not even fit a gallon af milk but was at least a slight help. The gas gauge on the golf cart did not work. The bathroom faucet’s leaked. One morning at 6 am the fire alarm started beeping very loudly every 10 seconds and for over 3 hours I had to listen that beep before they could get it fixed. Some of the bedding was stained a little, but not sleeping or having cold food and drinks were big. I spoke to management after 2 weeks about a partial reimbursement for all my troubles and, though I called and emailed them after, I never got a response. I have rented many VRBO’s and never had an issue until now, but this was not acceptable.
