I came to Galveston in 1992 and fell in love with the healing sound of the surf, the soft sand, the breathtaking sunsets, the palm trees, the Victorian Architecture, the art galleries, and the Strand shopping. We remodel beach houses and historical homes and wanted a place extended family could stay when they visit. Galveston is a cultural jewel with a rich history. We are blessed that we can call Galveston Island home.

Why they chose this property

We have admired this home for years. It has a rich history.
What began as a beautiful home built by Mr. McLemore in 1870 progressed to become a Home for Homeless Children after the Great 1900 Storm when Morris Lasker donated the home for that purpose. Children roamed the halls from 1900-1990. The home then became home to Heritage Christian academy and later an elegant event venue. The Lasker sat vacant for 4 years after Hurricane Ike until The Denson's purchased the home and underwent renovations to restore it back to it's beauty and glory and on to share it with others as a vacation and event venue. The totally remodeled elegant Greek Revival Mansion has an elegant yet comfortable feel throughout.

What makes this property unique

Massive Elegant home makes great home base for Family Reunions and get togethers. The ballroom seats 80 and the bar holds 20. The gardens are beautiful with seasonal blooming flowers and make for a charming atmosphere for outdoor picnics and recreation. Come celebrate your special event and let us assist in the details.
